Removing Onstar Tracking

Recommended Posts

Now that Big Brother owns the company who made our trucks, how do we know that our moves aren't known by them? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Onstar can track where we are? I don't subscribe to Onstar, but I do have a Nav. So does anyone know the facts? Without cutting the darn antena cord, can this be done?

Can't they use onstar to locate our vehicles if they're stolen?

Seriously, I'd big brother wants to watch me drive to work and the grocery store.... Go ahead I don't care. Especially if that same feature will find my truck if its stolen; which happens to be A LOT more likely than the government caring about where I'm going...

If you're not a subscriber Onstar could careless where you go and how fast you get there. Make sure while you're disabling Onstar you might as well rip out the black box, the ECM, BCM and TCM and destroy your cell phone too since they all keep sensitive data and location info.

Cutting the cord will work, you can actually unplug it above the headliner. About 12" back fron windshield and about 2.5' in from drivers side door is a plug. Pull the headliner down and unplug. No more tracking. What'll you do if they put a secret agent on you to follow you?

It won't do any good, cuz right after the election, Obama sent out a crew to every house in America and implanted micro-chips under your skin while you were sleeping and they are all watching your every move as we speak.

Seriously, if what you're theorizing is true. That would mean the government is wasting a load of money and resources on something that frankly, wouldn't give them any true benefit.

They wouldn't do that...would they?

Besides, if there was someone they really wanted to track. Wouldn't it be more cost effective to individually mark our vehicles for tracking with something slightly more sophisticated than....OnStar?

After you disconnect OnStar, be sure to leave your cell phone at home.

Also, don't use debit or credit cards as they tell your whereabouts.
