Shock And Tilt Sensors

I just called the Dealer Parts Dept and asked about 17800431 (SHOCK SENSOR AND MODULE)& 17800432(WHEEL TILT THEFT ALARM) Shock & Wheel sensors.

He says I don't have AUO or UK3, which is required for installation of these parts, per the limited information that these parts show. Not sure why they wouldn't be applicable in this truck?

This is a 2009 Silverado ECNB LT with remote start.

Anyone know the reason why I can't install these parts, (the Parts guy wanted me to ask in here)?

The truck has the Remote Keyless entry (The Key Chain remote), but it's not listed under my VIN NUMBER, weird.

I don't have the UK3, but I find it hard to believe that I can't install the wheel theft and shock sensors in this truck because I don't have wheel mounted radio controls.

Let me give you some well researched advice. You are better off installing an aftermarket security system, thant going with the OEM sensors. It will cost you about the same, yet, the OEM sensors do not work very well. I installed a Viper remote start 2 way security system for about $550.00 (with customer sensors on my toolbox), and I literally get a 1 mile range on the remote. This system also notifies you when your alarm is activated by making the remote beep/vibrate. I wanted to keep the stock system, and not have to go aftermarket, but the OEM system just sucked. I am really glad I went this route. Good luck.

Might want to look in your owner's manual for that addon's instructions. Maybe the add-on you want has some settings that you would use those buttons to adjust the settings with?
