Wheel Size

I have been told that 16 inch wheels wont fit a 2005 silverado 1500, but I have seen at least one standard 1500 that had 16 inch wheels on it. I was also told that 16 inch would fit certain ones, depending when it was built in 2005. I would like to put 16 inch wheels on my 05 any help would be appreciated.

On 1500s you need 17s

 

I think the HDs and 2500s may have still had 16s... But not sure

Unless its an AWD (Such as the SS's and Denali's) or a Hybrid,16's will not fit the 1500's,There is not enough front brake caliper clearance.

16's will fit the HD's.
