Passenger Door

I have a 2003 2500HD. The passenger door window and lock no longer work. So far I've checked fuses and can't find any problem. Any ideas? Thanks

Seems like there have been a lot of lock actuators dying as of late, but I think it may just be the GMT900s with this issue. Possibly check for broken wires. If that doesn't work, you can take the door panel off, using a factory service manual, find the wires that would power the actuator and use a multimeter to see if there is power to those 2 wires when you attempt to lock/unlock the vehile. If you do, then it's a bad actuator. If not, you may have to go over all the wire to see if it's cut or something.

EDIT: Oh, you said lock AND window. Sounds like the power wire may be cut if you have no blown fuses. I'm assuming that it does use a fuse. Some components in some trucks use a self resetting thermal breaker too.

If both the window and lock stopped working at the same time, I would suspect a connector prior to the accordion thing where the wires go to the door or after that in the door itself. (Or broken wires in the accordion thing as said above.)

Because otherwise the window is controlled on a circuit breaker via the passenger door computer module and this gets a computer signal from the BCM to open/close the window or from the switch on that door to that computer module.

And the door lock switch is totally different. This has nothing to do with the window and goes to a relay in one of the fuse boxes.

So the only thing in common with both would be the wiring going to the door and the connectors for that wiring.

Perhaps you could easily undo the accordion thing and look at the wires going to the door and the other direction (use flashlight) and see if they look ok?

Beyond that, maybe you could pull the door cover off and examine the connectors. And also pull the cover off of where the passenger right foot would be and the wiring to the door should be there. Might be a connector there.

Then disconnect both connectors and use a continuity tester or ohm meter to be sure each color wire connects from both ends.

Beyond this, you would need a factory wiring diagram.
