Rear Leaf - Torsion Bars?

Going to add a leaf to the rear of my 04, but want to raise the front a little. Would different torsion keys do this for me?

How much height are you trying to gain? Your stock keys should allow for about an inch of crank. Aftermarket, or Ford keys will let you go further than 1"... but I personally wouldn't recommend going any higher than 1.5" using this method.

Looking to add the leaf for load carrying, not lift. Do not want the nose to sag. Are front keys the better route??

Stock keys and aftermarket keys do the same exact thing.

 

If you're just doing it for load carrying, I would recommend a helper bag setup... They have some good kits now for under $200, which is about what you'll spend for AALs, Keys + alignment.

Exactly. I was going to get the AirLift kit http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi-bi...verado-air.html ...but decided that my truck looks fine with the 2" rake so i left it as is.

How many leaves did you add?? 2" rake would not bother me, since I would rather 1 leaf.

I didn't add any on my new truck... it has a 2" rake from the factory. I was considering using 1.5" lowering shackles in the rear to level the truck out and then would need the helper bags so my rear wouldn't sag when towing the trailer or boat.

 

After i installed my body lift and new wheels/tires, the 2" rake doesn't bother me anymore (most people think its actually leveled) so i didnt buy the shackles or the helper bags.
