Silverado Benchseat/console Problem

My 2009 Silverado has the bench seat with fold down console. My problem is I have a GPS unit and a radio head I'd like to mount in the middle somewhere, and possibly some swithces for other acessories and a screen for back up camera. I'm looking for some sort of console to put on the floor ontop of the hump in the middle that can accomadate this stuff, or even maybe build one. Does any one have anything like this or when have you done in your truck? I hate drilling holes in things, but I guess I may have too.

 

I don't have the floor mounted 4wd so that wont be an issue.

just make a wood one to your liking and cover it with black automotive carpeting.

I can't remember if it was on this site or a different one but a few months back when I was trying to get ideas on making or buying a center console for my truck I found a post where a guy made a little wood console that sat on the floor kind of under the dash between the firewall and the jump seat. He had a CB and a Scan Gauge mounted in it. If you want to make one your self best thing o do is to grab some poster board or cardboard and make a test one to make sure it will fit, hold and look like what you want. I wanted to make one for a sub but wasn't big enough for the sub I wanted to use.
