Hello all. Just stumbled across this site tonight. Look forward to helping others and learning too.

 

I have a 97 GMC K2500. 135K Ext cab, long bed. Vortec 350/4L80e/NP243/14bolt SF with Gov Lock 4.10. All stock, new transmission this past winter. Planning to rebuild/replace transfer case soon, and Gibson single exhaust.This is my work truck/daily driver. Also my primary plow truck.

 

Wife drives a 95 Tahoe. 175K 4 door. TBI 350/4L60/NP241(I think...)/10bolt open. Also stock.

 

I am rebuilding a 1981 K20. TBI 350/TH350/NP205/14 bolt SF 4.10 open/Dana 44 open. Previous owner swapped a complete TBI 350 from a 90 Suburban. I just finished tearing down three donor trucks for various parts. Pulling the body off the 81 soon. Probably will pull drivetrain to clean frame and POR15. This will be my backup plow truck. I can't wait to get it back on the road, I love driving it. I started working on cars when I was about 10, maybe younger. That was almost 30 years ago. I do almost all of my own work now. Saves money, and I enjoy it. Plus, I know it's done right. Been driving Chevy's for the past 5 years now. Drove Dodges for a while, but it was all GM before that. Only owned one Ford, a Pinto that was given to us when we were first married LOL
