hi i have a 2000 jimmy sle and the transmision started having problems right before my wife made it home. she told me it was acting funny so i went out started it up put it in drive and nothing . put it in park and it started rolling down the drive way .

i disconneted the battery and changed the tranny filter and fluid . it now shifts but at the wrong RPMs (4500) and it has a high wine while trying to drive it . when it acts like it shifted into overdrive your still doing 4000 rpm's at 50mph . it does not feel like it slips at all when you take off in forward or reverse .

is there anything that needs replaced or done other then replaceing the tranny

It won't necessarily slip unless the clutch packs are worn. What you describe sounds like an electrical issue. I'd have a competent service tech look at it before it decides to bite it entirely. Probably cost a lot less to fix itnow than later.
