Center Console Replacement

Hello,

 

I have a 2006 SLE Extended Cab GMC Serria, Im wanting the Center Console, and wanting to remove the jumpseat.

(Like other posters have said, I dont need to seat 6, I rather the extra storage room the the console provides)

 

Now Ive thought of two options: 1) Go to a junk yard, and take one out of a Silverado/Serria. Or Option 2) I think found a website that looks like they sell the center consoles, check this URL out

But I can't determine if that's the entire console, of if its just the one piece where the lighter is.

 

Does anyone know what piece they're actually selling?

 

My next question is, if I pursued option 1 and was able to remove one out of another truck...How hard are they to take out? And would anyone be able to provide some insight on where to start on the removal.

I actually did find a console, so Im going to go ahead with the removal of the jumpseat and install the console when I recieve it in the mail.

Regarding the swap on the center console, you will have to have an internal torx socket for the seat bolts. most here have done it with a 12 point socket with good success. Make sure that you have the glovebox trim that goes with the center console...
