Hi all!!

I've always been an "Anti-Chevy Guy," except for 60s models...lol. A few years back, while shopping for a used Durango and not being able to get financing for one, I found a 97 Blazer that I could get into. Uggghhhh....

So, we bought it, excited that it had a full fuel tank, YEAH RIGHT!! 2 days later, my girlfriend ran out of gas, with a "full fuel tank." That's when I joined my first Auto forum, and found out about the infamous Fuel Level Sensor problem with V6 Vortechs...lol. 2 years later, the fuel pump finally went out so the problem was solved then, when I dropped the tank to replace the fuel pump.

A few months after purchasing, we had an historic winter, where we got 6' of snow, in a 36 hour period. I became a lover of Chevy, when our blazer was the only vehicle in our neighborhood that could move!! I spent the next 6 days towing other vehicles around.

This brings us to present. Last week, we purchased our first Suburban. We got a 2002 1500 Lt. So far, I really like it!! IMO, we got a great deal, at $6500.00, with 115K miles on the rig. We're the 3rd owner, with the first being a Lease, so lots of service records are available.

The only issue, which we knew about prior to purchase, is a Service Engine Soon light blinking. The dealership, which is a very large dealership BTW, informed us that they couldn't scan it for us, without charging us. So, during our test drive, along with the salesman, I drove it to an AutoZone and had them scan it...lol. Misfire detected in Cylinder 5. I'm hoping it's a simple plug or wire replacement.

So, anyway, here I am, new here, and I've already gleaned A LOT of great information from browsing. Thanks all!!!
