Blower Motor Resistor Pack

My 1 and 2 speeds don't work right after I changed my cabin air filters. I know this is a common problem so I'am going to change it out. I searched for the PN but I couldn't find it. Anyone know the PN for it??

Also I was wondering if I need to get the OEM GM part or can I get it at any auto store. I looked it up at my local auto store.

Is that the way it looks like?

Thanks

That does not look anything like it. I replaced mine in my '99 5.3 about a year ago and it did not have all those coiled wires or a connector like that.

Did you get it at a dealership or a local parts store?

Dealership. I'll look for the bill to get the part#.

That was easy. The part# is 89018597. It was $24.40 here in Canada July,6,2006.

The part# may have been updated to 89019089 .

I just replaced it yesterday I only had #1, The part# is 89019089 they call it blower motor resistor. I have a 2001 silverado it only took about 20 minutes. I stopped at my dealer and he qouted me $160.00 parts+labor. The part cost $47.00 and like I said 20-30 minutes, only 2 bolts and a wire harnass. I still can't beileve-$160.00!? The other guy in the firehouse had the same problem, 2003 silverado, called autozone the part was $26.00. hope it helps some

I got mine at Advance auto for about $18. It didnt have the coils in the back, they were regular resistors. Easy to change. My 2000 Silverado had 1-2 speeds inop as well.
