The only thing that should go in between you TB and Manifold, besides the gasket, is an NO2 plate.

I can see it working on an older throtle body injected engine. I believe what it would do is to act as basically a high rise manifold increasing the speed of the intake charge. It would be carrying both the fuel and air at this point, and would increase the volumetric fill of the cylinder.

On a tuned port injected engine, I believe all you would be doing is adding extra restriction in the air flow path. (The fuel is injected just upstream of the intake valves) The faster the air can get to the valves, the better the intake charge will be. To my way of thinking, turbulance would be a detriment to that and would not permit a consistent charge from cylinder to cylinder.

This theory also explains why the Tornado's don't work.

Well I'll be damn, I could have swore it added 50 more HP just as I put the sticker on the side window.

well if you have a 5.3l truck youll have every subaru, vw, and honda want to race you , they really whistle.. I found out cuz i just bought one for the cool sound it made for my 6.0 and found out from calling Airraid that the 5.3 is one of the loudest ones they have...and they dont know why.

but everyone is right unless you want the whistle sound when your on the gas, it realy does not do a whole lot, there sappose to mix the air molecules and produe a better mixture during the intake process but the jurys still out on that..lol
