Brake Lights Not Working

a friend use my 99 yukon to towed a trailer and since then the brake light stop working. top brake light, tail, and turn signals are working fine. replaced fuse and bulbs. checked brake switch and it looks fine. no power to the brake lights when measured with a voltmeter(brake pressed down). i found the brown and black wires in the tail lights always shorted together. removed fuse,bulbs, and brake switch but brown and black wires still shorted. is that normal? please help!

  I have the exact same problem. No USB drive passes the "correctly formatted" alert, but they are all readable. Every once in a while the truck will build a directory structure onto the drive. Also I've been hearing that the Surround Video Record has been deploying to the Tahoe's and Suburban's, Why not the trucks?
