Wife Wants A Car

Let me reiterate this....She wont let me buy "her" the Camaro, AKA...buy me the Camaro :lol::lol:

What do you guys recommend? She wants something small...like a Cobalt...I want her to go for a Malibu, as its way more comfy, and not that much bigger.

So do you think I should go for an SS Cobalt or get her an LT/LTZ Malibu

If it were me, I would enjoy the Cobalt for a little while, but I would probably get sick of it in a hurry...The Malibu seems to be very comfortable and looks awesome...and with the deals that GM has on, I can probably get a V6 LTZ for less than a Cobalt SS.

What would you guys get.

Let me say though....I don't have to drive it...I have the truck and the Zuke once its finished. If it were the Camaro I would drive it...but anything else I don't really care.

I cant...It would cost too much and I'd never find anyone else to put up with my shit :lol:

Cheaper to keep her....right :lol::lol:

Seems to be quite the range of vehicles you're 'considering.'

Big difference between a Cobalt and a Malibu. I personally wouldn't put anyone I care about in something as small as a Cobalt, but that's just me.:lol:

My old lady has a 2007 Impala and it is a great car. I haven't personally driven a NBS Malibu, but by all accounts, they seem to be nice cars. Without knowing her commuting regimen, how many kids you have, etc, I'd get a Malibu.

Well *I'd* get a G8 or a CTS-V, but I digress . . .

New Taurus SHO. Go test drive one..

With Camaro, wait another 2 years for the Z28 556 HP 551 TQ..Oh yeah!

Must agree with the new SHO.

Well, out of the two cars you said, I would get the Malibu. Or like someone else said, the Impala. It's a pretty cool looking car.

Malibu !!!!!!!

Cobalt is a cheap looking car, and for a lil more cash you'll have a car that should last a lot longer then the rental car your talking about. Both are okay but the cobalt is almost like the colorado interior, which is what i had before the silverado. It's cheap, feels like bottom barrel and just ugly. Malibu is a sweet looking car w/ proven stats behind it for mpg, reliablity, ect. But good luck i'm sure you'll enjoy what ever it is,

Try to find a left over g8???? I like the impala but i would have a tough time buying a car i thought might be redesigned soon. The malibu is nice. How opposed to buying a foreign car are you? I also really like the newest front end on that Ford fusion. What a shap grille! THe other you may want to consider is the Tear-ass SHO

Is she looking more at a two door, that's why the Cobalt? If that's the case, you know she won't be happy with 4 doors..... Do what I do, just keep buying, someone will be happy eventually.

my wife has an 09 malibu and loves it. I would highly recommand it. It is the 2lt model and has the 4 cyl, 6 speed. It is a great all around car. She gets 30 mpg regularly out of it. And it has some decent power for the 4 cyl.

She just wants a small car...if its not a Corvette she doesn't really give a shit what it is...as long as its small. She also knows she cant commute in a vette....well she could but I need to buy a house more than a vette.

Cool.

I will have a look at the 2LT...they're only a couple grand more than an SS cobalt anyway.

I'm gonna try and convince her to get the Malibu.... The G8 and Impala are "tooooo Biiiiigggg". Although not much bigger than a Malibu. Of course, we all drive trucks here..so everything is small to us.

As for the SHO...if I had the choice between walking and buying a Ford....lets just say I would keep foot locker in business.

Thanks for the recommendations.
