Classic 2003 Issues

Ive got a 2003 silverado 4.8. I notice i have a tick just on the passenger side of the engine. Its not really noticable from the top but if i close the hood i can really tell from the fender well. This sound is here all the time. I noticed that some people have a ticking at cold start up. Why is mine different? And i read about an O-ring. What o-ring? Is this something that GM covers on cost or how does that work.

Also i have the classic steering clunk when turning. Is this something they will cover or not?

I bought the truck in Feb with 109k on it and it now has 115k on it mid way through november.

I changed the oil to Mobil 1 ext performance.

thanks for any insight guys. I tried using the search at the top and it came back and said that nothing was found for "2003 Silverado ticking". I know that there is info on this site about this common problem but i didnt want to manually go through hundreds of pages to find it.

you have no warranty so the general won't help you ,same with the noise ,did you have the noise looked at ?

throw a new intermediate shaft at it

You could have a manifold, or doughnut gasket leak in your exhaust causing this tick...bring it to an exhaust shop and have them look at the full exhaust.
