Ipod Options For Quality Sound And Control

I know there are a lot of ways to do it easier. BUT here was what I wanted.

Keep factory radio

Have full control of Ipod

NO FM Modulator

 

I bought one of these wires which allows you to hook up the ipod direct to factory radio - but it was SLOW in scrolling through the songs.. Forget it it.

 

I bought this:

 

 

You can control the ipod JUST like you normally would - not giving up any functions.

 

Then I bought this:

 

 

THis way I can wire it right into the OEM radio with no sound loss you get with the FM Modulators.

 

Then I mounted that little screen in the dash behind the little piece of ABS Plastic that I cut out for a cleaner look. Then the remote was mounted on the lid of the center console. I brought the wire which plugs into the Ipod up into the center console as well. Over all it works great, and I'm happy with it!

I dunno, the LAN BUS stuff... Everything needing the radio to work. I just know the 'newer' trucks electrical architecture is some new design based off the Millenium Falcon and I don't fully understand the difference between it and the older system, or where the two switch.
