The Immigrant This Dutch windmill located in Fulton Illinois is not "old wood" but was built in the Netherlands and assembled on it's current location by Dutch Craftsman. A fully functioning grist mill. It was on the 400 mile trip today shaking down the new parts and fluids. Here's what I can say about the PML trans pan. It takes longer to bring things to heat. Peak temperatures are lower, running temperatures are lower and recovery....meh. By lower I mean by a few degrees. Enough to measure but not enough to matter unless your up against some limit. For instance, slowing through larger towns use to bring the trans up to 173 F and todays 87 F weather never broke 168F. Running number is down 3 degrees. Heats right up to the 100 F TCM trigger point but takes longer to get to 150 F by say another 20 miles. It's three greatest features are two extra quarts (2.5 in my case) and case strength. Acts like a case brace. A drain plug.2 points

fwiw-my clock spring wire colors were same as yours. Pin 2 was green/black. So like you that's where I tapped. UPS shows the cluster out for delivery so we'll find out tonite. All of the wiring is done and everything is back in place except for the nice new cluster. drum roll please..................................IT WORKS I feel like that commercial...so simple a caveman could do it. I mean if I can do it without a hiccup.... hell...anyone can do it. The wiring took about 3 hours but a lot of that was going over and over the wiring to be sure I had it right before I put it all back together. Everything works just like it should. It did take the TPMS about halfway down the drive to calibrate before it came up. And I can't get Trip A screen to come up. Trip B comes up but that may just be a setting I need to play with since I also have a blank info screen. A kinda pisser is the truck had an XM subscription when I bought it. I don't use it but it was kinda nice to have. That's gone but that could be due to sitting all day with the battery disconnected. OH well.....XM sucks anyway. Nothing like it once was. Anyway...thanks to WAMS programming, NitroDatsik's wires and Harlech's instructions it went perfectly. At this point total cost is about $680.00. That's a new non-heated wheel, Z71 cluster, programming, wires, and the related shipping from my end. Add in the reverse camera and I'm into the upgrades for about $855. I'm happy with the IO4 radio so that should just about do it for me. Thanks to EVERYONE for everything!!! eta: read the manual (who does that) and got the Trip A up instead of B. Also got my engine hours screen that unfortunately didn't carry over with programming so I start at 0.0 hours. Cleared the blank screen.1 point

There are exhaust shops that can do low rider exhaust. The answer it’s very loud depending on the muffler. I personally never liked the dumped sound. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

You are absolutely correct. Well played. An example of a perfectly civil and thoughtful response. It can be done. Thank you.1 point
-
Its mostly just ALOT deeper sounding since the sound waves are bouncing around under the box.. I like the way it sounds dumped, but you will get more interior noise with it1 point

I had this box waiting for me when I got home. Now to find time to get these warped rotors swapped out.1 point

I will get some pictures.. Heck once I get it where I want it you won't be able to stop me posting like crazy.1 point

You only get what developers that have registered with GM for development access have created. I've spoken with two companies that have apps for the MyLink and based on my conversation nobody wants to develop for their architecture. They want to focus on Android Auto and Car Play and not build individual apps for all the different manufacturers. As a developer I don't blame them. It's too difficult to maintain product lines for all the different car manufacturer. Sticking with iOS and Android is much easier. It's s shame because the infotainment API has so many data points that can be used to make some pretty cool apps but I don't think we'll ever see the day where there is a marketplace with a wide variety of apps.1 point

James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok. Homer Illinois AKA Troy Grove was a destination for Sunday. Yes I driver her for more than testing. But I can multitask. 70 mph netted 25 mpg and small change. Now that it's been done, it's done. Been to his gave in South Dakota too. I also like history. For those that say if you haven't a photo, it didn't happen. Here's your photo. It happened.1 point

Thank you. Here's a little better pic of the tail lights. They look great at night. Yes, those are 285/75/17's. I thought about going a little bigger, but after driving around and getting in and out of the cab a dozen times, I'm happy I went with this size. Any taller and i would've had to get nerf bars. I'm about to crank on the key bolts a few times to make it a little closer to level, but nothing crazy 'cause I like a little rake. I love good deep sounding throaty exhaust but am not a fan of tailpipes on trucks, so I put a Flowmaster on it and cut the pipe right after the axle. I love it, but some might think it's too loud. It's not obnoxious but you can hear it when I stand on it.1 point

spray some wd-40 in your plug to clean the contacts. I had to change one of my trailer plugs to a pollak but the rest work fine.1 point

Weights look good. I wish GM would break down the weight by engine choice like Ford does. I’m assuming all 4wd trucks come standard with the 5.3? Start adding options and go to LTZ or HC and will add some weights but will still be much lighter than the 18’s. Just wish I could get a 2wd truck with the 6.2. I guess they said nope it will be too light and too fast so make sure it’s heavier and make them get 4wd if you want the 6.2.1 point

F me.. my wife made me do the same thing lol. Every truck I had owned in the past, I bought without her there. I had the dealer remove the steps before taking it home, so I could say "Sorry, it didn't come with steps".. but she was with me this time. She saw the steps on there, and told me I had to keep them. I took them off last week, to "clean" them.. but I was really hoping that she'd realize it isn't hard to get in the truck without them.. boy was I wrong! She complained all week, and I finally got tired of it and slapped them back on. Once I finish up my color matching, I will snag some Go Rhino D6s. The stock chrome steps work for now, with the chrome bumpers.1 point
