  1. Not today but I'm terrible at updating. I got my dimondback HD cover installed with crossbin. Thing is amazing, can't tell how good it feels to have a few Gs worth of gun/hunting equipment in the back at times without worry about a break in while I'm grabbin a snack. Also got a pretty sweet sticker for the truck. Sadly I screwed up with the install and it's slightly crooked.

  3. I finally got new meat! The BFG tk02s were great and lasted over 60k miles. So far these Falken wild peak at3w’s have been great. I have noticed that they make much less noise than the BFG. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  4. Got my steps on couple days ago. Not 100% satisfied so seller will refund me half the price [$60] I can live w them for now, but i want 4" black oval instead. Been looking for a center console, got quoted $600 ? for a '15 black leather one from a local salvage; so the search continues. Would like to paint my stock wheels soon though....

  6. If you want to feel $hitty brakes, drive a GMT400 88-98. Mushy pedal with lots of travel before you get brakes. I put drilled and slotted on my 97 which made a huge difference! Still have mushy pedal. May do master cylinder swap to gmt 800. Going back and and forth between 97 and 18 the brakes are amazing on 18 ? Back on k2xx generation.... You could prob put drilled amd slotted on your truck and will notice more bite, grab etc. Also more brake dust as well.

  7. Have you seen the Michael J Fox Edition Sierra/Silverado rolling down the road? Looks like the Toyota from Back to the Future. Anyway there is a really cool headlight switch with the option for Off-Road lights. Apparently with a long push of the button the BCM will latch the signal and provide a constant positive signal for triggering a relay. It will also illuminate the icon on the switch as well as send a signal to the cluster illuminating an amber light icon next to the fog light icon or “ORL” in amber. I successfully installed this in my wife’s ‘16 2500 Denali yesterday but from what I’ve read it’s the same for 1/2 tons, HDs, and Colorado/Canyon. The BCM already has Programing for this from the factory but I’m not sure when (how early) it was started. I have a ‘15 3500 that I’ll try soon as well as a friend’s ‘17 2500 to do soon. If the Programing hasn’t been done in my ‘15 I’ll still be able to get the switch to illuminate as well as latch a signal for positive or negative relay signaling using a latching relay. There are several variants of this switch. Some have blue background for ‘17+Up model years and red for ‘16+earlier. Additionally some have the ORL switch without Fogs, and some have no surround backlighting. Here is the video from yesterday’s install..... ......More videos to come for other uses like work lights, incorporating into the X50A, rear facing lights, non programmed trucks..... Pgamboa has been very helpful in discussion about this as well as providing schematic-Thank You!

  8. Installed my switch and harness this evening and noticed two things: 1.) Switch doesn't activate when in Park. Truck has to be out of Park in order for the switch to work. 2.) Switch will also turn the headlights and parking lights on too, just like if you press the fog light button. Overall, I'm happy with it. The instructions were perfect and it was great having the pre-made harness. On a side note, I do have an extra switch (blue color) because I accidentally ordered two. I did plug it in and test it and it does work. If anyone is looking for one, send me a PM.

  11. Cover looks absolutely sweet! The sticker is cool too but would drive me nuts being off axis like that. Your truck is too sweet to settle. Buy a new sticker and line it up right. Your truck deserves it

  13. There are two distinct sidewalls. You can choose either to be "facing out". This pic shows both sidewall designs. As you can see, I chose the background pic.

  14. I'm one of those that researched and researched and used this 2014+ thread many times to browse pics and fitments. Figured I'd throw mine on here to help the next guy. 2018 SLT 4x4 Z71 package Onyx Black with Cocoa Dune interior. First pic is the day it was delivered to my driveway. Here's what I've done: --Tint front two windows --Removed front air dam --Removed stock step rails --Color Matched GMC front and back --2" Rough Country Leveling Kit up front (the 1" spacer under the strut) - stock in the rear --Fuel Maverick Gloss Black and Milled (20x9 with +1 offset) - I wanted to go for more stance and read where +1 Mavericks would fit. The gloss black complements that new black paint as opposed to the matte. The milled edges bring out the chrome just enough to tie it all together (I'm not a huge fan of the all blackout). --Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295/55/20. Also didn't realize the Ridge Grapplers had two different reversible sidewalls...I decided on the more uniform sidewall that has more "chunk" so to speak. They are absolutely awesome looking tires. Have some road noise but nothing major. I noticed on my camera that the gloss black nerf style step bars arrived today so I'll throw those on this weekend. I wanted to go for more a stockish look but with a little meaner stance and the +1's accomplished that. At full lock there is a very minor rub on the inner fender liner but I'll zip tie it back and be good to go.

  16. Here are the instructions: https://echomaster.com/index.php?controller=attachment&id_attachment=1438 Yes just the radio bezel area and you have to plug in a wire at the MVI behind the glovebox. I did not remove my grill as I just ran the wire and mounted the camera at the M in GMC. I have a Denali grill. If you can do any basic work its easy. I am not a mechanic by any means but I will try a DIY project here and there.

  17. That is how a Z71 should come from the factory! Super nice truck, perfect stance!

  18. Ahh, good deal - the way your post was worded, it sounded like they just tossed some fittings on, gave her a vacuum job, and charged away. Anyone trusted to work on those classics has to know their stuff, or they wouldn't be in business long. Glad to hear that! There's not many guys out there anymore that have even seen a conversion - the new generation of techs has never worked on points, carburetors, nor knows much about R12, other than it was "phased out" by the government.

  19. The guy I used has been in the business over 40 years and has a 10 bay shop. Most of the dealers in town send him work, as well as all the local car clubs, RVs, dealers. When I was there yesterday he had a 69 judge, 64 Mustang and a 65 Chevy station wagon on his exhaust lift. He’s done all my exhaust work, two Supercharger installs for me. He knows I’ll spend the money on my toys. He even had R-12 available if I desired. He said something about the oil he uses for the conversion and has done many. I told him about what I read similar to what you describe, he laughed and said trust me. I do. I appreciate the input, he does the research. He doesn’t need to sell a bill of goods he’s very busy usually takes a week to get a slot in his shop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  25. I guess every @ss has it's own opinion, but I like my seats and my brakes for that matter. Of course I'm comparing to my 2000 Sierra.

  26. @pgamboa makes a harness for everything lol just message him and ask him about the harness. Also here is a link to the thread about the offroad lights. Phil is make a harness to go from the switch to the BCM. I believe it is $35.
