  2. They don't go out until you request it with the button or the fob. Which is good, for those that fold them in to get through the garage door.....
  3. Bars turned up? UCA's hitting rests when wheel drops as it goes over a hole or when it rebounds after suspension was compressed? Wouldn't usually think that bushings etc would be worn at 30K. 4wd? Bad shock absorber? Mine have all been quiet - and do lots of rough road and farm use.
  4. Driver information centre, but the page might need to be 'enabled'
  5. Don't know it the truck we are discussing has the wheel buttons, and don't know if it is the problem, but there are discussions about wheel button problems on other forums...
  6. Stuck button on the steering wheel control?
  7. Thread got my curiosity up, so tried mine. I was working near the truck so unlocked and pushed the cargo light button. Cargo light and led's in mirrors came on. Locked truck and keys in pocket. Checked occasionally to verify cargo and leds were on. After 20 minutes heard a relay click -- looked over and the lights were out.
  8. Yes! (a diode acts like a one-way valve)
  9. Supposed to shut off after 20 minutes. 2018 sierra manual: Battery Power Protection This feature shuts off the dome and reading lamps, if they are left on for more than 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off. The cargo lamp shuts off after 20 minutes. This prevents the battery from running down.
  10. They are also available on 1500's. RPO is DPN.
  11. ^^^ The cargo light button needs to be on. Press the switch to turn the cargo lamp on or off. An indicator light will turn on when the lamp is turned on, if equipped. The shift lever must be in P (Park) to operate the cargo lamp. The lights on the outside rearview mirrors turn on if the shift lever is in R (Reverse), N (Neutral), or P (Park).

  13. Interesting. Order guide ('17) says 2500 SLT gets 2 way power lumbar and 2500 Denali gets 4 way power lumbar, (to get 10 vs 12) and doesn't show 12 way as optional on SLT. 2017 HD sierra brochure shows 12 way optional on SLT with the heated and ventilated. '17 (and '18) Guide shows the same difference between LTZ and High Country (12 way vs 10 way due to 4 way power lumbar vs 2 way) 17 HD silverado brochure breaks out seat detail differently than on sierra, and it shows 4 way lumbar only on HC. Front up/down 1, 2 Rear up/down 3, 4 Seat back forward/back 5, 6 Seat frame ahead/back 7, 88 Lumbar firm/soft 9, 10 Lumbar up/down 11, 12

  15. So if it's losing prime, then maybe it's high pressure relief valve on the rails. Have you tried the primer before starting instead of just resorting to ether?
  16. Are you going to a 2500 SLE? I not finding the vinyl flooring option on 1500 SLE -- but of course I could be looking the wrong place in the guide.
  17. Will it stay running once it does start?
  18. And the seats (10 way vs 12 way), and the dash display. Gorgeous truck.
  19. Do you need the wheel weights on the lawn tractor? I really liked the X7 series that I ran.
  20. so far no for/aft with mine.
  21. I didn't go back and read all of this thread, but there are updated parts available from GM to correct issues of seat moving side to side during slow speed turns. There is also a bulletin on the issue. Maybe this has been posted before. #PIT5542 - Front Seat Lateral Movement An updated seat frame design that incorporates welded bracket to the seat frame pivot bar on each side of the white block. This helps reduce the excessive lateral seat movement. Mine was doing the side-to-side movement everyday. Since the PIT was applied about 4 month ago the the problem has not recurred.
  22. NHT cannot be ordered on a Z71 truck. NHT is only available on LT and LTZ trims. (SLE and SLT for GMC family) This is 'copy/paste' for the 2018 MY NHT - Max Trailering Package, On Crew Cab and Double Cab models, includes 9.76" rear axle, (JL1) trailer brake controller, enhanced cooling radiator, revised shock tuning for increased control, heavier duty rear springs and increased RGAWR LT - Includes (G80) heavy-duty automatic locking rear differential and Z82 Trailering Package. Requires (L83) 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine and (DPN) outside heated power-adjustable vertical camper mirrors. Includes (PZX) 18" x 8.5" bright-machined aluminum wheels with (RKX) 18" tires or may upgrade to (RD4) 20" aluminum wheels with either (RC7) or (QSS) 20" tires. LTZ - With (L83) 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine, requires (PZX) 18" x 8.5" aluminum wheels and (RKX) 18" tires or may upgrade to (RD2) 20" chrome wheels with either (RC7) or (QSS) 20" tires. With (L86) 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine, requires (RD2) 20" chrome wheels with (QSS) 20" tires. Requires (DQS) Outside heated power-adjustable vertical camper mirrors. Not available with (Z71) Off-Road Suspension Package. NHT also provides a lower ratio differential. Exact one depends on engine /trans combo. So NHT gets the tow mirrors, enhanced cooling, 9.76 axle, heavier springs and higher RGAWR (rear gross axle weight rating) Items like G80 and brake controller are standard or available on LT/LTZ/SLE/SLT (but maybe not on other trims) Z71 is (traditionally was?) a suspension package for better off-road, rather than a towing package. It now also includes a bunch of styling items (especially on the chev) Some think the Z71 does not ride as nice as the non-Z71
  23. Thought I had a b pillar rattle on the passenger side. Only happend sometimes. Turned out it was the position of the seatbelt tongue. All is good now.
