Yes, they are available other places, but thought that GM selling them thru accessories might indicate that they should survive in the cab environment. The ones available thru gm aren't the top of the line that thinkware offers. Perhaps a 'built-for-gm version' after the MCE expected for the 2022's.

I don't think those are the correct ones. The correct ones do not need to be programmed with the tool. (but a tool can be used) The correct ones will transmit both temperature and pressure. If I read the link correctly, the 'dual' on those ones refers to working with both the older and never vehicle systems. Yes, you can order sensors separately. Only one set can be ordered with the truck. (one set = 4 sensors) The ones ordered after are more expensive. The app can handle 6 sensors per trailer. So it is necessary to order some separately for triaxles. The app can handle many trailers, and save the sensor data for each. If another trailer is added extra sensors would need to be ordered. The app can be used without sensors.

Trailering app in the truck is used, not a phone app. The trailer must be connected to the truck to do the sensor set-up Original posts were from 2019 when many shops did not know about the new sensors and the truck being able to monitor. The trailer sensors transmit temperature and pressure data to the truck app. To 'learn' the sensors on the truck, a teach tool is required. Perhaps an exhaust leak somewhere that whistles/emits the noise when the exhaust is warm/hot and there is a surge in exhaust flow -- like when auto stop/start restarts, or a downshift increase revs?

The standard rim on 1500 Denali is still a 20 - 275/60R20 all-season, blackwall on 2wd, 275/60R20SL all-terrain, blackwall on 4wd. 18's are not available on Denali (or mine would have bee ordered that way) There is a 22" Denali only wheel. They use 275/50R22SL all-season, blackwall tires.

Maybe a dumb question, but have you verified that they are working? Not specifically 2019 SLT, but I've been surprised at the number of (relatively new) trucks running around with one or more lights not working.

Check the options list carefully -- they can easily change the MSRP of the vehicle. Take a photo of the window sheet. Be aware that the left hand side will list the 'standard equipment' for the trim/engine that is listed at top of sheet. The options are listed to the right hand, and sometimes override what is listed as standard. Go to GM's website and check out the 'offers' they have for your area. They change every month. Different districts can have different programs offered. Some dealers are pretty good at implying a 'discount' as there own, even if it just the GM discount. Sometimes the 'programs' include offers of financing. Sometimes is financing OR dollars discount. Sometimes its better to finance yourself at a bank/credit union. Double cabs all have a standard bed. Crew cab (1500's) can have a standard bed or a short bed. The crew-short is the same overall length as the double cab standard. On RST, 2wd crew is only available with shortbed, 4wd crew can be std or short; on DC they are all 4wd std (may have something to do with the price differences)

Ford did the mechanical design, but they each build their own. As I understand it they each also have their own transmission controller. GM also uses the 10 speed lots of places. It was in car applications before pickups, and now it's n the new SUV's. Still using the 6 speed in the lower trims too. So 3 transmissions and 6 engines in 1500 pickups.

I used my 2500's 'mostly' for the daily drivers. Running run lower tire pressure (especially rear) when unloaded will improve the ride. I don't have torque/HP numbers for a 2002 6.0, but the diesel today has significantly higher numbers than in 2002. I'd expect that with the powertrain improvements (transmission and powerplant) that you'd have a much better towing experience than the '02. Imho, in the 2500 world the SLT/AT4/Denali decision is mostly about styling - including in the interior. More stuff might be standard on higher trims, but generally can be added to the lower trims. Order guide orders them SLT - AT4 - Denali Downloading the brochure from GM might make comparisons easier than doing a bunch of design/build trials on the website.

Last couple days I've noticed a few around with narrow light bars on top of the bumper, in front of the grill. Not sure what they were mounted to. (might be thru bumper, might be back thru grill)

I had an '11 with heated seats that lived outside. Those seats were not know for getting 'hot' very fast. Anyway, truck lived out side and was used every morning. During a period with a bunch of 10*F mornings in a row I decide that a 'test' was in order. I used to key start and drive gently instead of remote and allowing some warm up. It was VERY clear that the remote start period had been warming the seats -- even though they still didn't feel warm. I suspect that part of the issue is that without a butt on the seat, much of the heat is transferred to the cold cabin. If I wanted to do that test today I'd try one of the cheapy 'temperature guns' to measure seat temps the close truck and start with remote before checking again. FWIW, this generation they have changed the remote start periods from 10 minutes each to 15 minutes each -- and still permit 2 periods before in-cab starting is required. 1. Press and release 'lock' 2. Immediately press and hold 'crank' until the turn signal lamps flash or for at least four seconds. When the vehicle starts, the parking lamps will turn on. The doors will be locked and the climate control system may come on. The engine will continue to run for 15 minutes. After 30 seconds, repeat Steps 1 and 2 for a 15-minute time extension. A maximum of two remote starts, or a single start with an extension, is allowed between ignition cycles. The vehicle's ignition must be turned on and then back off to use remote start again. 6.6L duramax's engines (and cab heater) warm much better than 5.3L and 6.2L gassers or the 3.0L dmax. No with winter front or block heater on any of them - lots of starts below 10*F and a few below 0*F.
