  1. Same here, half the roads in town don’t show speed limits. And the other half are often outdated / inaccurate. Not a great feature but I do leave it displayed in HUD because something has to fill that space. There isn’t any functional difference between the GMC and Chevy uplevel clusters. But because you cannot get that cluster without nav, I’m curious if the speed limit sign is just permanently there and empty on the home screen if the truck has IOR or IOS (non-upgraded to IOT) infotainment. With the midlevel (small screen) cluster, navigation trucks get do get the speed limit signs and nav page. But non-nav trucks don’t have the empty sign sitting there all the time because there are two different cluster “display modes”, if you will, depending upon the infotainment installed. If the uplevel cluster doesn’t have a “display mode” for a non-nav truck, presumably those upgrading to this cluster will be stuck looking at empty speed limit signs on the home page unless they have IOT or an upgraded IOS system?
  2. That’s a 6.2 NHT truck.
  3. It’s amazing the amount of weight reduction you get when ditching the stock exhaust... between the 2 flappers, giant muffler and two resonators. I held onto my old parts for a couple weeks and then scrapped them. Too big and heavy to have sitting around!
  4. Sorry, I absolutely cannot stand the dotted toolbox. Option 2 and pocket the 900 bucks.
  5. Easy as can be, no tools required. Just pull them off by hand and snap the new ones. The clips along the floor come free super easy by lifting, so start with those. There is some trim on the seat that can be unclipped to help them lift out. And then there are also two clips on each piece in the footwells facing the firewall, which fight a bit more but simple enough to manhandle. Definitely don’t pay someone to do it. There’s really no risk because big deal if you do break a clip on the old part. You aren’t going to re-use them and they ain’t worth selling. Mine old ones went in the trash.
  6. I haven’t pulled anything too heavy yet but no drone with 4000 pounds.
  7. Picked up a nail or something tonight. Man the stock jack absolutely sucks, especially using it on the back. And especially in this crazy heat and humidity.
  8. Wisconsin here too, no complaints with the A/C, even in a black truck with black leather and the sunroof shade never used. I have it set to 70 all the time, usually if my wife is with me, her side is at like 74 because it actually gets a bit chilly.
  9. That’s the same as the Bakflip Revolver X2/X4. Mine works fine with the power tail gate and therefore it should also work with your auto-release gate. More than likely you just have to loosen the cover and slide it forward a bit if the seal is hanging up on the tailgate. If you take all the clamps loose and close the tailgate, it should push the cover into the right position to work correctly.
  10. Beautiful night on Independence Day weekend. Gets no better!
  11. I’m with you but I think we are in the minority there...
  12. Those are the steel transit wheels. The dealer installs the 22s when it arrives. And the headlights / DRLs are slightly different but very very hard to tell. It’s not as easy to spot as the difference between high and low trim trucks on the K2 platform.
  13. The two are different. The High Country grill has some bronze accents in the grill bars, and is stamped “High Country” on one side. MAFD2’s is an LTZ grill, which would look better on a “non High Country” truck IMO.
  14. Not all High Country’s have the front camera either so I would order off of a lower equipped example.
  15. Anyone else this crazy? Added Bose emblems to the rear doors to match the factory ones in front. It kinda bugged me how bland the back door panels were. Figured it was a little thing I could do to help. The emblems are cheap on eBay and are the same part from the K2s. Unfortunately the speaker grill holes are “fake” and not all the way through. So I cut the posts on back of the badges down to little nubs that still locate the emblem level. Then I measured to sort of match the front, made a little template and hot-glued them on. Evening boredom solved.
  16. Any Dexos-1 Gen2 approved 0w20 will be plenty good and is the GM recommendation. Don’t need to turn this into another oil thread...I use Mobil 1, but anything meeting that Dexos Gen2 standard is fine.
  17. If you call them or open a chat they will give you a discount. Unfortunately they charge sales tax and many sellers on eBay don’t, so you have to kinda do the math on that deal. Usually eBay is cheaper.
  18. Had the MX4 on my 16. Didn’t like that it blocked the window when all the way up. Plus it was kinda heavy when folding. Have the Revolver X4 on my 19, works great and much easier to roll up without climbing in the bed. I wouldn’t worry too much about brands anymore...Truck Hero owns/makes the majority of them including Bak, Retrax, Undercover, TruXedo and some of the GM ones. Need to figure out what style you want and go from there.
  19. I don’t think they’ve made any running changes since you’re one of the few people I’ve heard complaining about them. Also, the price of the truck has nothing to do with it really, the general seat shape / support is the same on all of the T1s. Guarantee you it’s the same piece of foam that’s under a work truck. Not saying that’s right but they’ve never really done anything special for the higher trims. They firmed them up a bit since the previous generation but I like it. My 2016 started to feel like a worn out old couch.
  20. A lot of the issues are just bugs that I haven’t bothered seeing a dealer for, and/ or things that corrected themselves. The rampant “trailer disconnected” error did send me to the shop this past winter, but it has since been corrected by GM. Overall for a first year product I think it’s been good. And I’m a fairly early build, 10/2019. Whoops, meant 2018!
  21. The only thing that’s specific to the AT4 is the seat inserts and stitching colors. The darker chrome around the vents and headlight controls is the same on everything so it’s not like it was brought in just for the AT4. You’re giving them too much credit! The aluminum control knobs are in all GMCs, and they are awful looking IMO. Totally cheesy, and the only sore spot in the GMC interior. I know they tried to differentiate between the brands but there must have been a better way. The dials on the Chevy look and feel much better. Otherwise if people seriously think the K2 was nicer with it’s ginormous swath of unbroken stitched rubber across the top of the dash, and a center stack that looks like it was being birthed by a cow, I’ll leave them to it. Had them both, and know which one I prefer!
  22. Usually they will wobble something fierce if there’s a problem. My dad had some aftermarket wheels that he thought just wouldn’t balance. Eventually found out they were lug centric and the car was not a fan of that arrangement. I like the look of those Ram wheels so if they work, they work. Not sure I could put Chrysler stuff on my rig though...
  23. The camera is within the sweep of the wiper so I never really had any problems this past winter keeping it clear. Dew / fog might be the worst because it tends to come back 2 seconds after you wipe it off.
