I don't know if you can swap that to 2 USBs. The harness that connects the USB/Aux in the center console is the same one that gives you wireless charging and rear heat. To swap it you might need to modify the wire harness to accept your change. I really don't know without looking at the actual pieces.

A lot of people prefer to replace their socks with Bilsteins. Lots of good things said about them. Not sure what size wheel/tire you have, but going with a smaller wheel and compensating by getting a tire with a larger sidewall often helps.

DMR? Something new to learn about. This is getting bigger the more I learn about it. I move every 3 years. I could acquire a database of repeaters. Getting back to CB, thoughts on Midland CMX760??? I know it's discontinued and only units available are what haven't been sold, but it's either that or the Cobra 75 WX ST. Seems like Cobra is suffering from quality issues, and the 75 WX ST mic is larger, heavier, and Midland has one more feature. I found a CMX760 for ~$120 NIB. Everybody else wants $165-$230 for the Cobra.

Console USBs and wireless charging aren't the same harness. It doesn't go up into the dash. There is 1 connection where it does connect to a cable going up into the dash, and that's a mini sd plug, iirc the terminology correctly, to connect the SD card/usb/auxiliary ports that are in the armrest bin of the center console. The harness is also kind of like a Y formation, where the bottom of the Y is a large plug the connects under the passenger seat. One branch of the Y ends with the wireless charging and the other branch ends with the rear USB/rear seat heat buttons.

Confirmed there's one on the driver side. It's between the engine and the brake cylinder. Very accessible. Comes through above and behind the brake peddle a little off to the right. Much more accessible than the one on the passenger side, imo.

Imo, it really makes you think long and hard about the tonneau cover you get. I have a Retrax. Very thankful that if the tailgate fails I'll still be able to open the tonneau. As for the tonneau you're looking at, I bet you could open it by slipping a crochet needle between the tailgate cap and edge of tonneau to hook on the cable and unlock the tailgate. Those are cheap, and might be able to fit in your glove box.

1) I didn't "misread" you, and my statement is very applicable to everybody who has issues with their dealer. 2) I have a 2020 with the Bose system. I haven't recognized this problem. When I crank the volume up, it's loud. When I turn the volume is quiet. It does what I want. Notice I didn't comment on the specific problem. I'm not experiencing it. Just recommended a possible solution that you chose to take exception to.

I have, and I like it, but I don't think it's best for me. I don't want to take up space for passenger legroom in the front seat. Safety regarding my son and wife. I have the full center console. The other option is to mount it in the bin above the radio on the top of dash. My concern there is that it could lead to my truck being broken into. I park in my driveway, and not the street, and there's a camera over my truck to catch any thieves. My windows are also tinted. Still, I'm trying to be as discreet as possible. All of these safety precautions have not prevented vehicles from being broken into in my neighborhood. We even having roving security. That's why I'm looking at the all-in-one handset radios, and something like a short whip antenna, or the midland ghost antenna, that'll sit behind my lightbar on top of the sportbar. Btw, I'm also looking into GMRS radios, and getting the license, too.

Thanks for the referral. I'll looking into Walcott. I've been looking for places in San Diego, but they are all saying to checking out the places I've already been to. The place I mentioned previously that I left a message with did call back today. They referred me to the Ham radio store I mentioned first. The shop that called me says they specialize in police radios, and also happen to be booked solid through February. After a little more prodding they did recommend a car stereo shop, but I think it was so the guy could get me off the phone.

I think I stumbled upon another forum where you post up about the installs you've done. I forget the name of the forum. You seem knowledgeable, or could point me to the direction of somebody who does. I stopped by Ham Radio Outlet. That was a bust. They didn't know a thing about CB. Headed home I decided to stop by Off Road Warehouse because I thought they could provide some insight. They referred me to another shop. I went to that shop during normal business hours, but they were closed. Called their number on Google Maps and ended up leaving a message. I've been studying and learning, but info is sporadic, and seems a little overwhelming. I could really use some help. I'm leaning towards an All In One, but they seem to be hard to find. I've found only 2. One is the Cobra 75 WX ST. The other is Uniden CMX760. Both seem to be hit or miss with the reviews. After CB in considering getting into GMRS and HAM, but also want a police scanner in the truck. I could really use help sorting this out.

Reviving this thread. I'm very interested in installing a CB in my Trail Boss, but I have the full center console. I'm considering mounting the radio under the front passenger seat and using the mic only to change channels, etc. I'm also apprehensive about drilling the roof, and have considered mounting 1 or 2 antennas to the top of the GM Accessories sportbar behind or next to the Baja Designs light bar. If not on top, then on the inside sides via antenna mounts from Axia Alloys. I like the idea of having a scanner, like the Bearcat 990, and a few other things. Also want to install a HAM radio later on. Thoughts, help, and guidance would be greatly appreciated. I plan on stopping by a store in my area called Ham Radio Outlet to sell their advice as well, but more advice is always appreciated.

Dorman is one of the largest lug suppliers to auto manufacturers. They have all sorts of info, but you gotta have access to their catalog. It's been over a decade since I've looked this info up on GM trucks since I installed spacers on my 2007 Tahoe. There is a possibility that a longer lug may not be available, especially this early in the game.

Heated seats don't use air. They use heat. Only cooled seats air. The answer is no to both of them. The heat will eventually pass through, but it'll definitely take longer. The cold air will not make it through the cover.

Did you start with a kit from some company, or fabricate this from scratch? I'm not handy enough to do this from scratch, and don't like what I'm seeing on the market

Putco makes the led blade tailgate light I'm using, and it plugged right in under the truck in front of the rear bumper. I know that doesn't completely answer your question, but hopefully it helps.

I'm using whatever is available through GM Accessories for the backseat. Got tired of the kids dropping their toys, etc and finding them under the rear seat or hidden under the back rest. It's a universal fit that ayesha with velcro. One day the kids will be old enough that I can remove it, I hope.
