  1. There shouldn't be any loss. In all my vehicles over the years, I never had one that I had to add coolant. Just be sure to check it at the same time every day, like first thing in the morning before you take it out to drive.
  2. I agree with newdude, the Corsa on my 2019 with the 6.2 has the best sound, especially when you get on the throttle but nice and quiet on the interstate. It does have a little loud growl on cold start up but quiets down fast. Corsa and other companies spend serious $$$ developing their systems. It's way more than just a muffler drop in.
  3. 10/21/2025 2023 Kia Sportage 26,416 total miles 5,147 miles on oil OLM at 2% Oil AMSOIL Signature Series 0w-20 Kia Oil filter Sample sent to OA.
  4. For a pan drop that sounds to me about right for the most part. The way to tell would have been to check the fluid level before you started. At the recommended temp pull the side plug and it should have just barely trickled out.
  5. I've tried all kind of different products. Nothing seems to last. I have read about Cerakote and see how well it does for most and seems to be something that would work well for me. Best place to get it? Our vehicles sit outside as well and the sun here on the east coast is intense in the summer.
  6. Interesting. 3k miles and it sheered down? Fuel dilution test from Blackstone isn't very reliable. Oil Analyzers would be a better choice and to my knowledge less in cost, especially if you are a Preferred Customer. Every consider using them?
  7. I should have kept my 2002 Silverado. Back then it was fully loaded as an LT. Sold it at 200k miles on it and the only issue was a little use of oil, about a qt every 5k miles. It would have been less expensive to have gone back through the engine then buying new. Now I don't have the room in it like I do now which was the main reason for upgrading, but I would have had a reliable vehicle. Anymore driving my 2019, it is always on my mind of the lifters going or the valve body in the 10sp going out. Also at the worst time like on a trip up to PA to visit mom. Also our 2016 suburban started having a small vibration at idle, it seems to come and go. I thought at first maybe engine mounts, but then it would have a big clunk when taking off I would think. My scanner didn't show anything, I have a Topdon. I really need to learn how to use it. But a local shop said they found it had a misfire on 1,3,4,7 cylinders. I just changed the plugs 18k miles ago. So I got a set of AC Delco original plugs and installed them. From what little driving we have done so far it seems good but only time will tell. Now the lifters are on my mind on it as well. It has 108k miles on it now.
  8. $2.75 here
  9. 5k mile oil changes keep things simple and easy to remember. AMSOIL's OE would serve well and as a Preferred Customer the cost is on par if not less than most off the shelf oils. Use an AC Delco filter and things would do well. I think the fact that I change oil at 500 miles, then 1,500 and then again at 3k on new vehicles is the reason, Knock on Wood! that we don't have any oil consumption. If interested in trying AMSOIL, let me know, I can get you the best price.
  10. I don’t know the specifics on the Super Tech, but for 5k mile oil changes they are just fine from everything I have read.
  11. Then AMSOIL's AZO 0w-30 meets what you are looking for, it is a tad on the thick side compared to the 5w-30 and 10w-30 and it's HTHS is 3.07 compared to the other two at 3.11. It's a solid oil and it's pour point is -50℃/-58℉. To me the main concern would be the extreme cold. High temp's that you get would not be an issue. I run 0w-20 in my 6.2 here on the south east coast with high humidity and temps in the high 90's and heat index of 110℉ with no issues and I tow occasionally a 5klbs 8x20 box trailer. Plus it exceeds dexos 1 gen 3.
  12. You converted your 2023 Sierra to FF?
  13. $2.87 regular here.
  14. Or you can get the kit and upgrade yours for less and it is very easy to do. They provide well written instructions.
  15. If it did overheat, not sure of the damage, might be worth having it inspected. If not a new engine is way cheaper than a new truck since you already know what you have. I hope you have serviced the rest of it ie, transmission fluid change at least and transfer case and diff fluid changes.
  16. You could use AMSOIL's ATM 10w-30, it has the best NOACK out of the Signature Series and would work well even in your cold weather. It's another option and AMSOIL has distribution centers in Canada. https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-signature-series-10w-30-100-synthetic-motor-oil-atm/?zo=521390 Also here is the look-up guide for all the fluids for your truck. https://www.amsoil.com/guides/?zo=521390
  17. Like @newdude said, any reputable shop can do it. If you want to use the fluids by GM you can find them on Rock Auto or go to the dealer. If interested in AMSOIL, let me know and I can get you the lowest cost. You use this on the differentials. https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-severe-gear-75w-85-100-synthetic-gear-lube-svl/?zo=521390 I see you did the transmission but for future reference this is what it takes and what I put in my 10sp. https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-signature-series-ulv-100-synthetic-automatic-transmission-fluid-ulv/?zo=521390 The transfer case takes this and you will need two qts. The Easy Packs makes it a clean spill free job and well, easy. https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-signature-series-fuel-efficient-100-synthetic-automatic-transmission-fluid-atl/?zo=521390
  18. Drove it back form Atlanta, total miles was 848 and average mpg was 17. I don't think that is to bad considering I did 80 most of the trip and had about 600lbs of oil and stuff in the bed. Plus the Toyo Open Country ATIII's are heavy and the 2.5" lift.
  19. Just got back from Nopi. It was an awesome event. Some serious builds there and seeing the original Fast and Furious cars that were in the movie was cool. There was something for everyone. One of the cars on the hydraulic competition flipped his car, crazy stuff. You could ride along in one of the drifting cars if you wanted to and for $20 you could take your car out on the speedway for three laps and from what I could tell, no speed limit. A friend of mine had his car over 100. Looking forward to next year, Sept 12th and 13th 2026. The weather was perfect.
  20. Heading out tomorrow morning at 6AM. It’s about a 7 hour drive from here. Got to stop at Buc-ees on the way there and get breakfast.
  21. No. I did keep a bottle for the lot number.
  22. Yes, on my trip up to Maryland for the NOPI show. Plus being using E85, 9 gallons to a tank each fill up.
  23. 8/18/2025 2019 Silverado 6.2 5k on oil 59k on Vehicle OLM at 24% AMSOIL ASM 0w-20 8qts EAO17 filter Went back with ALM 5w-20 This time
  24. Personally I think they ran a different sample. Who knows what goes on inside the lab. It’s not hard considering I used to watch them burn the oil samples after we ran a Pratt &Whitney F100-220 jet engine at our JOAP lab.
  25. This is going to be a great event with drifting, drag racing, burnout contest and carshow. Located near Atlanta it will be easy to get to for some. I will be set up inside the track with my Synthetic Advantage AMSOIL booth.
