alright im finally going to drop the cash to finally get some 285 70 17 to fill up my wheel wells and plus the tires on my truck now are getting wore down and hard. I was going to get bfg a/t or michelin a/t until they said it would be 1250 bucks. then the copper stt was 250 a tire plus mounting and balance and those were out of the question and so were the nitto terra grappler was 1005 which aint to bad but still high. I searched and read alot of reviews about the hankook dynapro m/t 850 and lots of good reviews which were handled good on and off road, quiet on the highway, around 50k miles, does well in rain. Is there anyone on here have them on your truck. And will these fit without alot of rubbing the specs say the tire is a true 33x11.50 on a 8.5 rim and these will be mounted to my stock rims. The bfg a/t 285 70 rubs on my step dads 08 sierra with a leveling kit but only at full lock. http://www.hankooktireusa.com/product/tire...ail.asp?pid=358

Thanks, Drew

Good luck on those Hankook's ... they look like a fine mud tire.... are you suggesting that you are getting this set of 4 Hankooks for less than $1,000 total, mounted and balanced...?

I am sure they are good tires, .... my money would go on Toyo's or Cooper's.

yea i got a leveling kit. and i would get the toyos or the coopers but after them telling me how much they were and after seeing the price online the nittos were 770 and the stt are 772 and im sure that the hankooks are fine for the price and for around 40k or 50k miles

I put Firestone Destination ATs on my truck, and they've been great. No rubbing, and seem to be wearing well after 5k miles. Also make no road noise. 285/70/17 are only $139 each at onlinetires.com. These are the standard load tires. They have load range D for more $

I got the Michelin LTX M/S. I will admit I don't know a lot about tires, got them because a few other guys I work with have them and were highly recommended even for the extra cash involved. I can say I like them though, quiet, ride nice, of course to compare them to the old ones they where worn down and it has been four years since they were new. Take my review for what it’s worth, whatever you decide good luck, Jake.

Drew,

I think you made a safer choice going with the BFGs. But neither tire you are looking at is gonna have a quiet ride. Tires that look that aggressive come with a bit of noise.

yes I think these are the better if not best tire brand I went with since bfg is made by michelin. and the total cost was 1170 which is not that bad. They actually arent that loud on the road either and at a couple of mph you can feel the truck shaking back and forth which is awesome.
