285/75 Or 305/70

Hi guys, I have a stock 02 silverado z71 that came with 265/75/16. I bought a set of aluminum rims for it that are 16x10. I was wondering if anyone has tried to run 305/70/16 on their stock truck do the face they are the same height as the 285/75. Will the width rub? The new rims also have a backspacing i believe of 4.5 inch. I was thinking of going with the 305 to fill up the rim a little more. What do you guys think?

GO FOR IT! I have run 305's on three of my chevy's with no rubbing. Much better ride and handing with wider wheels though. I only had 8.5" wide, yours should be even better.

I put 305's on 16x10's my 2000 Z71 after putting on a add-a-leaf and turning up the torsion bars. Still rubbed just a touch.
