New Silverado Why The Change

Picked up a used 07 Silverado a couple of months ago and had a 00 Silverado that I just got rid of. Why did they remove the under hood light? Why did they move the radio volume button farther away from the driver? Why did they move the glove box lever away from the driver? I think these are bonehead moves in the wrong direction. I really like the ride of my nbs but I dont understand why they would make these silly downgrades in design and egronomics. Other than that happy so far ..except I need some 4:10 gears but that is in another thread.

Glad I have an '01 now.

The volume knob in the center of the radio hardly matters if you have the steering wheel controls

i agree, gotta love those steering wheel controls. as far as the glove box(es) go, only thing i keep in there is my insurance and reg in the top one, pistol in the bottom. the center console is just so big, ran out of stuff to put in it. a under hood light would be nice, but i havent had a car yet that has one, so i can live w/o it for now i guess.

I got one of those in the upper compartement, and then I got 2 larger ones that light up the bed

I keep one of these in the truck, so bright you can hunt varmits with it...clips to cap for under hood or truck or boat work...My gun store buddy turned me on to it and said if I did not like it he would buy it back and throw in $10...I have bought three from him...
