Duplicolor Shield?

Actually, I have found that it does work ok, though it's not usually worth it unless you're taking a lengthy highway trip. I've seen some Corvette folks use it when traveling to shows in lieu of a bra or the permanent 3M film, and it's saved their front ends.

For most normal driving conditions however I'd say a good paint sealant or wax is more than sufficient.

I've seen guys cover the front of their cars in blue painter's tape too (when traveling to shows). Works fine and is probably a lot cheaper

If you watch the video they mask off the grill, headlights and all the emblems and then spray it on. By the time I did that I could scrub the bugs off a nicely waxed front end.

Yeah, that's what THEY do.... but I'm sure you don't HAVE to do that. The stuff rinses away with a simple car wash.... so just spray the SOB down and call it a day as far as I'm concerned!

The front facing edge of my 08 truck's hood has one obvious dent and another light dent in it from common rocks on the highway. I believe the metal may be thinner or softer on these trucks than previous truck yrs. Spray on stuff ain't likely to prevent that..
