I ordered some hella optilux 2500 lights off ebay and put them on tuesday. I had second and third thoughts about putting them on because i didnt want them to look ghetto or out of place. But they on on the outside of the tow hooks and they are a perfect fit.

Looks excellent...... did you install a relay and keep the cirquit completely independent? Nice job on the dash switch assembly. That's where I would usually do something dumb with the dremmel/snippers and the area around the switch looked like it was done by a hungry squirrel.

where did u route the wires thru the firewall?

yes the kit came with the relay and the switch. to cut the hole i heated up a square razor knife blade to melt right through it for a perfect fit. and i looked for 30 minutes and i didnt find a place to go through the fire wall so i came in the fender and door and the wires come through the inside fuse panel

yeah, lol, I was casually looking under my hood some months back seeing where "if i needed to, where would I go thru" and nothing popped out at me either.

Sounds like you found a good alternative.......

nice job. I completely like the look.

Here is where I went thru the fire wall, right behind the fuse box. If you drill a hole make sure you use a step bit, they make nice smooth holes. I also sprayed the area with quick dip before I installed the grommet.

EDIT:

I was thinking about either there or behind the grill, maybe even modding the grill so the lights are mounted in it but that might look like a mustang wantabe and thats not good. Wonder how more square ones would look mounted like yours.

Thank you all. I was thinking about behind the grill too but I was also thinking they would be a little too high. and I was going to drill a hole right where you got yours but I decided not too and that thing to the right where you got yours drilled I have wires in there.
