We are looking at a 99 suburban with only 73000KMS.

One of the things I noticed was the spare is stored INSIDE the rear..

If we bought this unit could we mount the spare UNDER the truck like on our 97 1500 pickup?

Kinda of a Duh! moment.

Are there any other options for the spare?

It really looks bad in the back.

I've seen some guys mount it up top on the luggage rack,although I'm not keen on how it looks up there :thumbs:

How about a rear tire carrier/rear bumper??? It wont take up any room inside, much better idea than underneath and much easier to use than the rooftop carrier.

There ya' go,I've seen those also on a few Tahoe/Suburban's.

Yeah, I will look into rear carriers. It might look cool on the back.

If we get it(or a different Burb) that will likely be the way to go..

Don't want to loose the inside room to the tire.
