Brakes And Fluid

At 58K I pulled the front rotors because I felt the brakes weren't stopping as well as before.

The shop said they did have enough on them to cut, bought new ones with pads.

It is a lot better, but still didn't feel 100%, those rotors had enough meat on them but he said they looked perfect no need to cut, I sanded the pads a bit to get some glaze off but still not feeling like I can stop on a dime.

I wanted to bleed the brakes since they were never done, my friends said no need.

What do you guys think?

Bleeding yes or no?

Flush brake fluid with new?

I tow an rv weighing 6,000 lbs and drive at about 70MPH so I may need all the brake power.

Never pass up an opportunity to get rid of old brake fluid, beit flush or bleeding. Suggest the former.

100% agree - I changed mine out at 30k and plan on doing it again this weekend (60K) with rear rotor/brake replacement. I believe I used Valvoline synthetic - no problems.

When I do the brakes, I will let the bleeder release the fluid as I compress the caliper piston in. Kinda like a mini-flush.

When doing shoes, I will pump (the brake pedal) a few times to send some newer fluid down the pipe.
