Great write-up. Just a quick question, for those that want MAX output/brightness ... would it be possible to use a H9 HID bulb? or would that not make a big difference? I guess i'll try it on my next customer's truck if they dont mind going that route.

by looking at the bulb, im guessing it would fit. And considering its a HID kit, the bulb plugs into two wires coming off ballast, and the stock wiring plugs directly into ballast. So you dont need to worry about too much trimming/cutting. I'll have to try this and see if its worth it!

I recently had a passenger low beam go out....Last night I decided on the Sylvania H-9 for $14.99 vs, the H-11 Silverstar at $21.99. Removing the extra tang on the bulb socket takes a few seconds with a sharp chisel. The new bulbs are much brighter then stock and I was very pleased driving last night.

The H-9 is a 65 watt bulb vs the H-11 at 55 watt. I am hoping the additional heat will not be a problem, but I am always looking to upgrade when a stock part fails...seems like a good "mod" to me.

Passenger side was easy, just pulled the airbox lid off, then removed the entire airbox since it just pulls straight out. Driver's side was harder becuase the stupid washer tank filler neck is in the way. 10 seconds with a cordless impact and I had the 400 bolts holding the aux battery tray out of the way and the filler neck loosened up so I could jam my hand in there.

No biggie, but they definitely could have made it easier!

Hey guys,

I recently called Innova looking for a kit and they no longer sell them. The company who sells and makes them now is Aspire Auto Accessories! I ended up buying one and couldn't be happier. Super easy install and the difference is visible!

I stumbled on this post a while back searching for the kit and thought i'd come back here to post and save someone some trouble looking for the kit.
