Hub Centric Ring For Rims --i Have A Question

I just bought a set of wheels for my truck that are lug centric and was wondering if I should look into hubcentric rings? When I install the wheels I always use my cordless electric impact to get them somewhat tight which is like 60 ft/lbs Then I lower the truck just enough that the wheel doesn't turn when I torque them down by had. This is with very little weight on the tires. I get a very little vibration once and awhile with this set of wheels and tires and I know the balance is perfect because I watched and helped install and balance the set. Also the brake clips are off!!!

The main question I have is the wheels have push thru center caps. Will the hub centric rings work with them? I know i need a 78.1 mm to 108mm ring. The box says the rims have a 107.95 center bore. Add that with the center cap will the 108 ring work?

I am not up on this but I had a set of wheels once with those hub rings and I returned the wheels due to vibrations. I did nt really care for that system of mounting. If the hub is smaller than the wheel center I don t think you should install them like that .I think you will put too much strain on the studs and wheelholes. Hope someone willl explain the whole Hubcentric thing. Not sure we are talking about the same thing but it s a BUMP for you anyway.

What spped do you get the vibration? What size wheel and tire? Do you feel anything in the steering wheel? How aggressive is the tred lugs on the tire? I have found all of this will play a role in figguring out if you need centering rings to begin with. I have been running mine without centering rings and without vibration for 40,000 miles.

I have owned wheels that were lug centric, but they came with the hub rings. Call the manufacturer and find out if you should have received them, or if you can purchase them.
