Gmt900 Wipers

Just wanted to let all you GMT900 guys know that I found some good and cheap windshield wipers at O'Reillys. I have tried Autozone, Pepboys, and Carquest locally and none of them said they had anything that would fit the new "pinch" style wipers.

I bought some at O'Reillys on Sunday for only $21.99 a pair. The brand is Anco C-22-PB. Right now they are buy one get one free. I have no idea how long that will last. A week maybe?

After two days of driving in the rain they seem like a good set of wipers. I had them on my SRX for about 6 months before I sold it recently. I am thinking about going to buy another set to store in the garage since they are so cheap. A lot cheaper than OEM from the dealer.

At Costco they had Goodyear wipers for cheap. They were the pinch style I assume and they were priced at something rediculous like $8ea wiper. They work good, my only complaint is that on the pass side it seems to not curve all the way to the windshield when it's fully down but as it's wiping it works fine.

That's exactly how the passenger side is on my fairly new '09.

I thought the wipers that came stock are made by Bosch. Those are like $20 a piece.

Not sure about if those are who makes the stockers, but I bought a set of Bosch Evolution blades that do look just like OEM for $22 a piece, and they seem to be working great.

Unfortunately for me, I bought those a while back and they weren't buy one get one free. Seem to be good wipers though.

Bought a pair from the dealer yesterday. $16 each. Drivers side doesn't hit the glass half way up the windshield when the wiper is a couple of inches from vertical. Goin to swap blades around tomorrow to see if that works.

Just out of curiosity, how long have the OEM blades lasted for you guys? Mine went about a year and a half before needing replacement, even with using the heated washer fluid to clear ice (instead of scraping it by hand) several times over the winter.

Blades on my previous trucks (and on the Envoy Denali currently in my stable) have lasted me 5-6 months tops.

Mine lasted about the same length of time.

I bought my truck new in July '08 and still on the original set with no issues yet. If they make it through winter, I'm sure they will need to be replaced by next Spring though. The OEM wipers are pretty good IMO.

Chances are the spring-action is sticking. Try flexing the blade toward it's backside. Found this helpful when the blade ice-up and can not adjust correctly. These wipers are junk clearing snow and ice.

I disagree, though I will admit that I have a tendency to use the heated washer fluid feature quite a bit. I just hope it never goes bad since I know replacement parts would be completely impossible to find.
