Interior Swap

Recommended Posts

I finally got tired of all the wood grain on my denali and how easy it scuffs up. I swapped it out for the all-terrain interior pieces. It turned out great, not sure if I am going to replace the pieces on the doors or not, but hell it looks a lot better no.

Looks way better man! I prefer the look of the brushed aluminum over the wood grain too, and love the interior in my All Terrain!

What does the steering wheel and lid to the center console look like in the all terrain. I would love to get brushed alluminum on the lid of the console but I dont think there is a part for it.

looks good :) . Time to complete the process - swap out door trim, console trim, and steering wheel IMO.

+ 1. Looks unfinished.

The steering wheel in the All Terrain is just leather wrapped...no inserts of any sort like the 'wood grain' Denali. The arm rest/console lid doesn't have any insert either. It is just the insert/storage space with the rubber liner, and the surround is 'leather' or vinyl like material same as on the sides of your current arm console lid. I wish it had a brushed insert, I think it would finish it off very well, but would prob scratch/wear pretty easily. But I'd def say swap out the switch plates on your doors!

Actually there is a brushed aluminum console lid available, the part is from a Hummer H2 but it will fit our trucks. Not cheap, though.

Here's what the A/T interior looks like:

You can kind of see the console lid I'm talking about in this pic:

I have the part numbers for the door switch plates. I would not mind swapping the door switch covers. Personally I am a bigger fan of the brushed alluminum over the woodgrain. Anyone know the part number for the brushed alluminum form the H2 that will fit. I would be nice to swap everything. I dont think I would spend the money on the steering wheel as I would need the dealerships help with that swap.

Who has got the best prices for these parts. I normall use gmpartsdirect but the shipping of the 5 parts the way the figure it is going to be outrageous.

gmparts wants $210 shipped

oemparts wants $211 without shipping

There has got to be a better place or even someone here on the site that might be able to help me. Thanks.

I was able to get the part number for the latch off the H2. For those looking to do the same thing the part number is 15134814. Found it on gmpartsdirect the whole lid assembly is 25906682
