2005 Silverado Cluster Lights

hello, Does anybody know what number or type of bulbs a 2005 silverado uses in the Gauge clusters, a couple are burned out.. I know most of them require resoldering thats easy, i had to replace stepper motors but i dont know what bulbs they are and where to find them..also in steering wheel controls are bulbs the same type?? pretty much want to replace all of the interier lights with different color (cluster, 4x4 contorl, steering controls, a/c control, seat warmer, headlight switch) thanks for any help

I am wondering the same thing. I was about to start a new thread asking this very question but stumbled onto your post first. Hopefully somebody can help us with this because it's kind of irritating, well to me at least. Somebody please help!

Just replace the switches on the steering wheel. Can't help you on the OEM bulbs. I'd replace them with LED if you're going to the trouble..

I just read somewhere on here that a guy has posted every bulb number on every GM vehicle. You'll have to search to find it, as I cannot recall which category I saw it.

Okay, I think i found the bulbs that will fit on superbrightleds.com i'm gussing its the 5mm and 3mm in the steering wheel controls because they are a little smaller but hopefully the 5mm works in all because 3mm doesnt come in the color i want.. but since the LEDS only use 4volts max and its a 12v system how do you reduce the volts?? I know you use resistors but I dont want to buy a resistor for every single bulb in my interior.. is there anyway you can put one resistor to control ALL the interior lights (steering,hvac,4x4,headlight,cluster,window switches) ???
