Lift More Or Leave It Alone?

Hey guys I need some advice. I have an 08 GMC Sierra 1500 ECRB ALL TERRAIN edition. I have the rough country 3 inch with the replacment arms (no issues at all) and I switched out the stacked blocks with ready lift 3 inch. I'm running the stock all terrain wheels that I think look bad ass and are the reason I didn't go with a bigger lift so I could keep them. I have 305/60/18 PRO COMP EXTREME ALL TERRAIN tires. Right now my fenders measure ( measurements taken at the very center of the wheel) front- 40.25 inches and the rear- 41.25 inches. I would like just a little more lift so I'm thinking about the 1.5 body. But I will not be changing tires for quite some time. So my question is do you think it will look alright with another 1.5 inches of lift on these tires. Sorry about the pics, they were takin with my iPhone.

I think it looks great that way. In my opinion(which is not worth much), if you go higher you'll need bigger tires. I find the lift to tire size ratio just perfect as is.

It will look fine. Tires look a little stuffed IMO.

I think going with BL will look just fine. As Blackout07 said, They do look a little stuffed. Body Lift FTW

I agree with you guys in needing a little more lift. I just really worried I will put it on and it will look dumb because my tires will be too small. Idk...... Can you guys think of anything else I can do to it the truck? Line X over the rails and gm rear fender liners are coming for Christmas.

Put a few jacks under the frame and lift it a bit to see how it looks.

Do those tires rub at all? Looks great, but I think the extra bit from a body lift would look awesome!

they only rub when cranked full lock to the left. But just a little. They rub on something solid though(frame??? I have never looked) I just go till it rubs and turn it back just a little. Zero trimming had to be done. Makes me kinda wish I put 305/65/18s on it with the 1.5 body lift. That might be in the plans when I wear out these tires because I'm worried my tires I have now will look small with the body lift on it now

That is a great idea! Lol. I will try that out at work tomorrow if I get time.

If you go with the 1.5 BL we will need to see pics when your all done. I'm planning on getting the Zone 1.5 BL sometime soon I hope. Maybe in the spring after my Black Bear tune.

This is off topic but a 10.56 in the 1/4 is pretty impressive for a 600RR. what all do you have done to it? I had a 06 gsxr750 with full micron exhaust and 520 chain conversion and stock length stock height and went a 10.2 I thought I was doing pretty well. But I thought the straight line stuff wasn't exciting enough so I picked up road racing with CCS. but I had a car pull out in front of me and I ended having to have my right arm amputated. But I still have my road race bike and we set it up to ride with one arm and I'm still racing and am now an instructor on track days.

If you are even considering going with those tires, I would go with the 3" body lift. It will prevent any rubbing and look great.

As of right now the engine is stock. I have a full Jaridin race exhaust, HRC intake kit with a k&n filter, power commander, alot of diffrent gear changes and countless hours on the dyno. My current gearing is -2 on the front and +2 on the rear. Right now at the rear tire on VP race fuel with a custom map she makes 124.7hp and 58.9 torque. The guys from the club I am in call it "Factory Freak". I also hold the track record at my local track in the lightweight class I race in with that time. Since 2006 to 2008 I have won the championship every year and have not lost a race within that time. Took this year off because I got married, move two times and have a son due within the next two weeks. Gonna start up again this coming season and strech the swingarm and see what she will do.

Sounds like you had a rough time there with the accidint? Glad to hear you came back and still do what you like to do. I had a friend in the service that had his leg amutated and came home and still wanted to ride his bike. So me and a few others set it up for him and he still rides to this day.
