My 2004 Silverado has a small problem...it blows very hot air through the vents even though the temp switch is turned all the way to cold. I have to turn on the A/C to get cold air, this has happend a total of 4 times. What could be the problem? :shakehead:

Your blend door actuator needs replacing. Search for blend door actuator on these forums for all the information you'll ever want on the subject.

You're welcome. :lurk:

There is an available reflash for 04 hvac modules for this. Another thing you can do is move the temp selector to where you want it to be before turning the key on then do not touch it for a couple of minutes of running. If you don't believe me when you are experiencing the problem turn the truck off, start it back up and don't touch the controls for 2 minutes, you should be able to control it normally after that.

Thanks! :jester:

Gotta agree with sparkstech, do the reflash first. I have had a few that still needed a actuator but many times the reflash was the cure, and its cheaper.
