Led Lights

I was on Recon's website buying cab lights for my 09 2500HD, when I notice that you can replace your turn, park, and stop lights with LEDs. The only catch is that they might cause the truck to think that the bulb is burned out (because of the low power consumption) and causing the light to blink faster while turnng or show that a bulb is out. Anyone had these problems?

on my step dads 08 they do flash fast but first he tried the dealer and they messed with it for about 2 hours and they couldnt turn the no bulb detection off then we had to put resisters on each bulb which were no problem so they would blink normal. And if you do the rear ones make sure they are white because the red ones wont be very bright.

Darn I just ordered the red ones, hopefully they will be bright enough. They sell a resistor kit for the bulbs hopefully i don't need 8 of the maybe just 4 (2 bulbs in each corner of truck). I also heard that you can buy a turn signal relay for led lights i wonder if that would work?

The red ones are birght (he did the same lol) then he ordered some white ones which are kinda of pink and I cant remember if it was 4 or 8 and I think you can do a new flasher box, if you call recon they will tell you exactly how many resisters or I can ask my step dad tomorrow

Hey thanks, i guess i'll just wait untill they come in the mail, maybe they just might work who knows. I'll give recon a call tomorrow though just to see if they can switch those lights from red to white. By the way did it look pretty cool after your dad switched his bulbs?

yea they are pretty darn bright he got every bulb led even reverse lights which are really white and bright and the interior lights are bright too
