Hid Kit Problems

I just got my HID low beam kit says its plug n play, hooked it up and only passenger side comes on so i switch the drivers side to the passengers side and worked fine. Any one know whats up with this a regular headlight bulb still works in drivers side so i have no idea whats going on. I also have HID fog lights to install and they dont come on at all...

Try and plug the bulb in the connector the other way. They are directional in polarity. It's a 50 / 50 chance...That's how I had to do mine...Let me know if that works.

i have the same probleme with my kit. when you turn your light ON, go to high beam and return to low beam, both are activated

My neighbor kid just installed a set he bought on ebay.One side would come on nice and bright and the other was dim and took forever to brighten up,I swapped the ballast as a test and that was the prob.One of the ballast is bad in his kit,sounds like what you are experiencing other than I dont know how a regular bulb would work with the HID setup like you say yours will?

it could be a bad ballast if the bulb works on the other side.. or else where you plug the light into the ballast might be backwards, some of the kits you have to actually plug it in the wrong way or else switch the wires in the plastic piece that clips in, i think there is a + and - marked on the ballast just check the wire colors on the other side and make sure its the same with the color and + and -

Just a thought factory wiring is not capable of running the 35watt hid's very well and the 55watt ones at all. Did you install a relay? A Relay should get rid of your problem as well as let you keep your DRL's

when I installed mine I took my multimeter and tested the polarity on the connections, I had to switch around a few wires because the HID's only work if the polarity is correct.
