I'm posting this truck on behalf of my father who isn't as technically inclined. We have over 60n high resolution pictures of the truck to show it's condition. The vehicle really is beautiful and is in perfect shape. My father babied it. Asking $19,000 OBO. Please PM me if you are interested/want to see more pictures. Description is as follows:

1991 454 SS

One owner, all original, has never been damaged or repaired. The truck has 26,500 miles on it and the engine is stock with no performance modifications. The 454SS has the largest V8 in regular production half ton pickup: an improved 7.4 liter (454 Cu. In.) gas V8 with 255 net HP at 4000rpm, and 405 lb.-ft net of torgue at 2400 rpm. This formidable powerplant is linked to a 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. Other hardware includes a Performance Handling Package, Locking rear differential with 4.10 axle ratio and Bilstien gas shocks.

Also with the truck is the original bill of sale, window sticker, owners manual, and 1991 Chevy sales brochure highlighting the truck.

19K? Seriously?? Dude, no offense, but its not a classic Camaro or 'Stang.... I think you'd be lucky to get 8-10K for it...

I can tell you its in Pa. by the inspection/emissions sticker :jester:

I'll also add....This is temping because I just happen to be looking for one of these :jester: and I want a '91-'93 because of the improvements they made for the '91 model-year (255hp/405tq/4.spd trans/4.10 gears/tach in the cluster)

It seems like you see all the '90's for sale, but no '91-'93s,I think this is because for '90 they made something like 10,000 of them, after that they were lucky to make a few thousand a year,I think I read somewhere that they made less than 1,000 for the final production year ('93)

While I would have to agree that your price range is what the book value is at right now, that doesn't mean that somebody, somewhere isn't willing to pay more. There aren't very many of these trucks out there in the condition that this one is in. A couple of years ago I sold my '68 Cadillac for what was at the time the book value for excellent condition. It was on ebay just a couple of weeks ago and someone paid $9,500 more than book value for it. It had actually gone down in value over the last two years according to the book, but it had recieved a very professional paint job since I had it and it looked great. Somebody out there was willing to pay the price no matter what the book value was.

This is true,I have had this gentleman email me more pictures over as I am very interested in it,It is a very clean,stock,unmolested,454SS truck, and as I said before......The '91 to '93s are super rare to begin with, let alone one that is totally stock, and I think they are the most desirable.

Its like the Barrett Jackson auctions I have been watching the past few days some of the cars are going for well over 100K and looking at them I say how is that possible. Probably because they are rare and sought after.

by no means did i mean to disrespect anyone, but seriously...

You're correct, the less they manufactured the more $$ they go for (and more sought after). But alas, its not a Hemi-Cuda...

Its your money, do whatever makes you happy with it! :(

*BUMP* :)

Guys...I want this truck bad!! And I had every intention of striking a deal to buy it this weekend,But....due to job "insecurity" I need to hold off on any major purchases for right now,I have talked to the owner of this truck...very nice guy! :dunno:

If your in the market for a 454SS truck.....THIS is the one you want,He sent me a ton of pictures, and this is one nice clean 454SS truck.

I have followed Classic and muscle car prices on eBay now for about many years now. I am amazed by how many people fall into the "Barret Jackson sold for whatever price" trap! People have listed vehicles for over a dozen times because of the delusion that they will get the Barret J. auction prices for there car. Are people not aware of the buyer and seller fees? Never mind that some beautiful and valuable cars have gone for dirt cheap. As far as being rare, or the limited production numbers, and value: that is totally dependent on how many people actually "want" the car. NOT on how many were produced! Anyways thats my rant for now. Buy the way MS3DALE I have a friend with a lowered SS with a 502 chevy crate engine, and lowered suspension. What is this worth in your opinion?

Honestly I have no idea,To me it wouldn't be worth as much as this one here is,because its not stock and has been modified.

I want one of these as a "collectible",and wanted to buy this truck because it is a stock, one owner, unmodified and "unmolested" truck.

BTW...I know what you mean on the Barrett-Jackson thing,I hear customers all the time say...."One of these sold at Barrett-Jackson for X amount of dollars,so I should be able to get that for mine" They don't understand its a totally different crowd there than in the "real world".....People that go there have money!

All,

Sorry for not writing back sooner about the location of the truck. I have been doing some renovations on my house and haven't been keeping up with this post like I should have. Anyhow, the truck is located in Clarks Summit Pennsylvania which is in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area. I'd like to thank everyone for your interest in the truck. I'd also like to thank MS3DALE for the kind words and interest, I hope your job situation stabilizes! Thanks.
