Anyone Drop An Ls7 In Their Truck?

LS7 at summit racing and Jegs sells for just under $15,000. I was wondering if anyone has put one of these in their trucks? Also, when do you think the price will drop down?

I would be cool to have a 505hp small block, natrually aspirated engine, with a warranty.

Since the LS7 is a dry sump oiler will be pricey to put one in. Oil tank, oil lines pump and more come to mind.

I've seen LS7s converted to wet sump.... shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Personally if I were dropping a different engine into a truck it'd be an LSA out of the CTS-V.

Wow, nice truck. This is what I was talking about, except maybe an extended cab or 4 door. Plus AWD would be a nice option. This engine has to come down in price soon, but maybe not.

There's a lot cheaper ways to get 500 hp, IMO. An LS7 is a nice way, but way out of line in price. It'd be more in line at $7-9K

There are much cheaper ways to make 500 horses. $15 Grand is way too much. There are twin turbo Escalades on youtube that do 50 feet four wheel burn outs... One Escalade in particular just sits there and spins all four tires for like 10 seconds... Amazing!

Is that the white EXT? Because that isnt real at all. If you look closely to the rear hitch, theres a chain hooked up to another truck. Its impossible for all 4 wheels to spin for that long. Maybe for 1 second if you have a shit load of power and NO traction.

How about a 6.2 with a Maggy Blower, headers, cold-air, catback system and a tune... That should do it...

That would be pushing near 600hp easily.

+1 or you could get a 6.0, bore it out a little, and go the "opposite" direction and throw on a turbo (or two) and still have alot left over

I know this but I have had two different trucks with aftermarket superchargers and the reliability is not 100% If you bought that engine you have nothing to worry about for 100k miles.
