Strategic Vision's 2009 New Vehicle Experience Study found that 13% of Chevy owners have never used the Web. By contrast, only 3% of Honda owners remain in the technological Stone Age. While 70% of Honda owners boast a college degree or higher, only 35% of Chevy owners can say the same.

I'm sure that kid you meet at every light thats 17yo with the fart can sticking out the back doesn't have much education...hell he's not even finished high school.

 

Best thing about statistics is you can make them say anything you want....I'll bet of the 2/3 of people that own Buick that are over 55, plenty of them haven't used the internet before either...the best thing though is that you can use the data you came up with to prove any bias opinion you want to about anything out there.

Honda Owners are well educated........

 

That made me laugh pretty hard.

 

Not sure how my stock looking 08 Silverado tells my age, gender, or political leanings. Since I haven't raised the hell out of it and put HID lights on it, that would mean I'm an older guy; extended cab, I should have a kid, it could probably go on.

 

I also use the internet. Get this, all of yous guys on here use the internet too.

 

As said above, you can make stats sow anything you want. 5 out of 4 people know that.

You also have to remember that civics are cheap. And with all that education comes hefty student loans, so its probably all that they can afford. The ones that left university and got really good jobs bought Chevys

 

The really successful people Bought Bentley. But according to a study reported by Steven Colbert of successful Business owners and CEO's, and which college produced the most. Harvard produced the most of all the schools...topping out at 32%...topped only by the famous school of No post secondary education...this prestigious place produced 56% of today's most wealthy and successful entrepreneurs.

 

Since those 56% never went to college, and without a doubt....they don't have a Honda....thats proof that uneducated people don't buy Honda...right?

haha, what does that make me? I own a 2001 Honda Civic, and 2009 GMC Sierra; throw in a 01 HondaCBRf4i and 06 Suzuki Gsxr and soon to be Honda CR450 dirt bike, what category does that put me in? Lol I went to small college in Oklahoma. ECU in ADA OK,but quit after a rew semesters; i'm thinking of going back to college to at least get my Associates Degree; since I don't need that many hours...

These types of "studies" are so stupid. How much do you guys want to bet the person who wrote the article or did the study drives a Honda or a Prius?

Many companies don't sell nearly as many trucks as what Chevrolet does which tends to mean that people work with their vehicle instead of using it purely as a mode of transportation. This lends itself to lower (not worse) education or technical schools. Studies often have results that are obvious.

I was thinking about what the Internet has brought us the other day. The most obvious to me... before the Internet, idiots were kind of localized and you didn't run in to them that often. The Internet allowed them to be global and not they are every where.

Wow...you sound like me...I have mostly driven north american.(still impartial to the 74 Challenger I had)..my wife has had a Honda of some sort since we got married 19 years ago (she had a Ford Mustang before...got too many speeding tickets!). She has owned a 91 Civic Hatch, a 93 Accord, and now a 97 Civic Sedan. I have had a 74 Challenger, Drove the 91 civic while she had the accord, traded for a 2002 Malibu, which got traded for my 06 Duramax CCSB SLT Sierra.

 

I have an Associate's technical diploma, am a senior manager in aviation manufacturing, my wife has one year secretary college...we both now what the internet is..we have 2 kids, a mortgage and a lline of credit...

 

but I do say...my CCSB does scream middle aged white guy with kids and a trailer...in fact, I get asked what size my fifth wheel is all the time by people who have never looked in my pickup box!! but at least its black and that is supposed to convey power..

 

My wife always gets told how young she looks in her blue honda with her red hair...

 

I think the category we both are in is just middle class white society...thats all...how boring!
