I am replacing the drivers side headlight assembly and I am discovering there are clips and or bolts I can't see.

Anybody have a diagram for this? I did several searches but no luck.

2007 gmc sierra nbs z71.

Thanks a ton.

If I were at home I could snap a couple pictures from the Helm manual.

When I get home if there aren't any responses, I'll crack open the FSM.

My manual has Chevrolet and GMC HD, I don't see regular GMC for the headlamp replacement.

There are 2 screws on the top of the headlamp assembly and 1 between the bumper and fender. At the bottom of the assembly at the front there is a support that says you need to depress the tab, I don't remember having to depress any tabs, I think I just slid it out.

The GMC and Chevy headlamps look identical, or at least in their mounting. In the wheel well there's that black plastic housing, just push that out of the way and look up there, you will see the bolt head, then just stick your wrench up there. I did that and it didn't deform or anything. You may be able to see it between the fender and bumper as well, but the other way is safer on the paint.

You will probably have to loosen & move the grill forward a few inches to get the assembly out, I did.

To loosen the clips on the grill, I used a pair of needle nose pliers to lightly squeeze them as I pulled the grill forward. (I think there is 6 of them)
