Burning Mp3 Cd, Help

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have been trying to burn an mp3 cd and cannot figure it out. I have read the owners manual and articles online. I was hoping someone that has done this will help me out.

I am using a computer with vista. Do you make folders and sub folders as if it were not an audio cd, say, the same way you do with pictures. Then just drag and drop the songs into the folder. I have tried this and cannot get it to work.

Is there a specific program that I should be using to burn the cd? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I figured it out last night. I was selecting audio cd instead of data cd. Clicked data cd and problem solved.

Thanks

I DO drag each folder (artist/album), as the radio will sort it all out. There is a button to push on the radio that will organize all the songs/albums/ artist for you. I find I have to do it each time I put the CD in. But since it holds about 150 to 200 songs, I usually leave it in for a while before changing out to another CD.

On a similar note......

I have the GM Nav unit in my '07. It will play mp3's burned on a CD, but ironically, will not play mp3's burned on a dvd. Yet it will play a dvd movie.

Thought it was odd that it wouldn't see the dvd as a data disk and play the mp3's.

Anyone else see similar behaviour ?
