Nb '07 Water Leak On Driver Floor

Recommended Posts

We've been having lots of rain here in So Cal. This morning when I went to get something out of my truck, I noticed that the air inside felt damp and there was water condensation on the inside of the windshield on the driver's side. I looked down on the driver side floor and there was a small puddle of water... I traced the leak and it seems to be coming through the steering column... Anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Through the steering column?

That strange. You sure it's not coming from the windshield and dripping on the steering column, then to the floor?

Yeah that's what I'm suspecting and what I meant when I said "through"... I'll do some further investigation.

I think the weatherstrip is bad in my 09...not sure. But if I let my truck sit outside in the rain, the floor gets wet. Brand new (essentially) truck and it leaks...YAY GM.

I hear ya... I just bought this thing a few weeks ago... The leak is not too bad on mine... We had over 8 inches of rain in a span of about a week, and I'm only seeing a small puddle. None the less, it totally sucks to think that I'll be making payments on this thing for a while. I'm either gonna take it to Carmax or Chevy dealer to get this thing looked at.

Did you buy the truck used?= Maybe the windshield was replaced incorrectly.

Or have a tint strip put on the front window?= They may have damaged the seal.

Or maybe the seal just gave up.= Shit happens :puke:
