Truxedo Low Pro Tonneau With Cargo Management System

I see alot of information on here about Truxedo's low profile tonneau cover used with GM's cargo management system, but I can't seem to find an answer to a question I have about it.

 

I am buying the Truxedo Low Profile Cover for my silverado short bed (CC). They give you an option of either having the CMS or not. I do not have the CMS, but someday plan on buying it in the future (not now). Am I able to buy the cover that goes with the CMS, and use the cover in the meantime without the CMS, or can this cover only be installed with the cargo system installed as well?

 

Does anyone know the difference between the CMS Low Pro Cover and the regular Low Pro one?

It doesn't use the CMS to mount, it just comes with different style clamps that are shorter so they fit above the CMS rails.

 

In other words... its perfectly fine to buy the cover that works with the CMS system even if you dont have it.

Purchasing from JC Whitney, and when I called, they werent sure. I'm running short on my tonneau cover buying deadline as their 20% off sale ends tonight

 

Glad to hear its the same cover, so I can buy my cover now and wait for my CMS and tool boxes.

Yes I did, the best price I could find on there for my truck was $476...with the 20% discount on JC Whitney it comes to $416, I haven't been able to find it any cheaper than that.

I will give another vote for this guy. I got my cover through him about a year ago. He used to advertise them as TruXedo, but he got in trouble with ebay for selling them too cheap. Now he can no longer advertise the fact that they are Truxedo. He is legit though.

and I verified the part number i need with him because i have the GM cargo management system. kind of ironic that its the same part number that truxedo uses

what did you use to search on ebay for these covers? if he cant list them as truxedo what do you search for?

I contacted him through the ebay item number you gave me and he told me the same thing you said...he is not allowed to list under the name Truxedo because he is selling them under Truxedo's minimum price.

 

Ordered mine yesterday...it ships out directly from Truxedo and he says I should have it within a week at $350 shipped.

Hey Joe, did you happen to ask him about Truxedos lifetime warranty? I realized that when you register the cover on Truxedos website they ask for the "Dealer purchased from" and "Purchase Price"... So im wondering if we should lie about the purchase price so he doesnt get in trouble
