Air Intakes Needed Or Not

Im looking at cai's now. Forum searchs are saying different things. Do they work or are they a waste of money. Should I just drop in a K&N? thanks

I installed an AirRaid MIT with the oem air filter. I can hear a difference and I think the throttle response is a little quicker. But are there any real gains? I doubt it.

This debate will go on and on and on and on and on and on and on....

smiley-sign-im-with-stupid-5037.gif I've got a drop in K&N but instead of an Airaid MIT, I made my own. Sounds great, I have better throttle response, and as for MPGs who knows.....? I haven't had the truck run this good for a while so I'm just enjoying it...haha!

IMO it depends on your budget, if you have the funds go with the CAI and if not you still get great results with a MIT and drop-in for half of the price.

the stock intake flows great for the stock output of the motor, if your tuned you may get gains but running stock with an CAI or high flow filter your not gaining anything but an empty wallet and some sound, high flows let alot of dirt in from what i hear
