Jennabear Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 I wouldn't suggest running wheel spacers, they put stress on the wrong parts of your wheel assembly.

Much like using a long pipe on a pipe wrench handle to break something loose. The front track is wider for a reason as you dont want the rear wheels rideing in the same track the front tires do as this is for added traction for the rear. This is why the front track is wider in the front on 4WD vehicles.

This is why the front track is wider in the front on 4WD vehicles. just to play devils advocate, im not a physicist mind you, whats the difference between using a 2" wheel spacervs wheels that stick out an extra 2"... that would be like saying using a 12" pipe wrench with a 2' pipe on it will give you more power than using a 3' wrench with no pipe on it... am i thinking bout this wrong? if i am please correct me. J
yaman3 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 It's how everything mounts and where the pressure is applied and how. It's really not as simple as a leverage argument. It is more about how the front assembly was engineered to handle stress.
