Is This A Issue, Or Just A One Time Thing?

Well I get a call from my wife a few min ago. She says the compass, temp, and airbag light on the mirror are going nuts. She says the compass and temp will work for a minutre then start flashing different numbers, and random lines that dont make any numbers, the airbag light keeps getting bright and dim. And the radio says BITCH (im not making it up she sent me a picture of it! But it might be the radio show she has one, since that is one of their statements)

I drove the truck 260 miles saturday, filled it up with gas, went through the wash, parked it out side over night (it was 37 when I washed it at 3pm sat) it was about 15 overnight, and while I was driving home sunday (another 260 miles) it was 41-43 outside and sunny, I had no problems. When I got home it went right in the garage overnight where it was about 40-50 degrees. Thats the past few days. I dont think the wash would have anything to do with the issue, but I am giving a good history report :D .

Alright so anyone ever hear of this of have this happen? I dont care about the radio thing, Im sure its the station she has on.

Maybe your truck just doesn't like your wife anymore (hence why it's calling her a bitch)? :D

I dunno man, sounds strange to me. I'd have to say let it sit and see if it still acts strange at the end of the day. I suppose it could be an indication of a leak at the top of the windshield where the wiring harness for the mirror is, or a faulty mirror.... but that's a long shot guess. Has the windshield ever been replaced in your truck, or is it factory glass?

Honestly as far as the radio goes I would have to guess it's RDS data from the radio station on the display. :D

my compass dis has done this a few times. only in the winter and in the morning when the temp is colder then -30c. it has always stopped after a few min so never really looked into it. But my radio said "I love you"

window has never been replaced, no known leaks!

Check the rear CHMSL as the gasket can "shrink" over time and let a small amount of water in...this has caused headaches for many and it is a quick check. Mine did this so I got a new assembly, installed it and then siliconed the entire edge around it. Other than that, perhaps the voltage is too low, causing the display to go crazy. Not as common but it did crop up several times on cases from GM.

I must be brain dead today, what is CHMSL? EDIT: nevermind the light came on! I dont have any wetness inside at all! If that where the case it would be wet from the carwash. I am going to flip the seat up and have a look anyway just to 100% rule it out.

regardless of your color of seats, your headliner is the light colored one. Look closely on the edges of the liner to see if you see any dry spots or dry lines indicating that it was once wet. I only noticed mine as I was cleaning the back of the truck. Hope this helps out and I will try to get pics of what I found in mine. Check the voltage on the truck?
