Thought i'd share some pictures of my experience last night....

 

I'm really considering buying a plow and doing charity work !!!

 

Here it is doing what it does best, sucking up gas 1 LITER: 208 ISK (Icelandic Krona) now do the math !!!

 

Here is how my driveway looks like:

 

 

there was a private contractor that plowed my street, and he did a crap job...

 

no side street gets plowed because the cities and government are running out of ISK $$$$$$$$

Don't buy the plow to do charity work my friend. Buy that plow and make some serious money.

$6+ per gallon? Ouch. That'd be $168+ to fill up my truck's main tank. Both tanks would be $642+. Triple ouch.

nice to see a real truck in a diffrent country. are there many american trucks over there or are they hard to get?

They're quite common here, lot of people own em, few drive em...

 

6$+ per Gallon is crazy, and you wouldn't beleive DIESEL is priced almost exactly the same...

 

And the hood it's just a stock hood with LUND hoodscoops, had them moulded and painted to match...

I was over in Iceland in the late 90's, at the NATO abase. I enjoyed the heck out of it!! Id go back tomorrow if I could. I dont remember seeing many Chevrolet truck on the road, of course, our gas was 1.50/gallon, on the base. But if you drove too far, you had to buy the expensive stuff. I drove a 4x4 cherokee.

yeah im not a fan of hoods on trucks but that actually looks really good

 

Yeah I usually just take the hood off all together it allows more fresh air to flow into the engine compartment

I wish we wouldn't plow, salt/sand roads here. It rarely gets deeper than 4", when they plow it just means every car gets stuck at intersections, driveways, etc. (Everywhere the plows pile up along the side...) Then all the sand and salt and whatnot makes lovely gravel that gets kicked up on your windshield. Right now my three year old truck has 6 chips and a crack all the way across the windshield... I'd rather deal with snow than the mess plowing makes of it.
